When the Arizona Cardinals drafted Kyler Murray, they had high hopes and confidence in him to bring glory to the team. However, it’s been six years and the team could only qualify for the playoffs once– that too ended up becoming the worst game of the quarterback’s career.

For the coming 2024 season, the Cardinals– who are coming off a 4-13 season, are once again putting faith in Murray as he expressed feeling an urgency to start winning. Even though under him, the team has a bizarre 28-36-1 regular season record and only one winning season in the last six years.

I’m not used to losing. I know it sounds cliche, been five years going on six, but haven’t won yet. The sense of urgency is definitely there. You never know when the game is going to be taken away from you. You never know how long you’ll be playing.

Despite the losing record, Murray feels optimistic about the coming season and hasn’t lost hope for the Super Bowl after all, it has been his dream since he was a four-year-old watching the NFL.

On an added note, this sense of urgency could have an effect from the quarterback’s injury, which made him miss nine games last season. But as he headed for the 2024 season, he felt much better and fresh.

While talking about winning games, the Arizona quarterback also reflected on his thoughts on the training camp, which is his first since 2022. He claimed this year’s camp is a “completely new situation,” regardless of last year’s 3-5 record.

Last year was just such a whirlwind for me as far as being hurt and then rehabbing the whole year, coming back in the middle of the season, which I've never done before,” he said. “I think this year, starting off fresh, it’s a big difference.

The quarterback further said that the players on the offensive line have been previously part of good offense so they understand what it takes, believing the Cardinals’ offense can replicate it in the coming season. Murray is aiming to be the best in 2024 and for that, he believes the “sky is the limit” and expresses his high confidence in the team.
