Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe overcame criticism to help the club claim a crucial 2-0 win over Getafe in their latest La Liga encounter. Following the win, manager Carlo Ancelotti boldly claimed that the Los Blancos controlled the match and deserved to win.
The match between Real Madrid and Getafe was a highly tense one, as both sides engaged in a total of 30 fouls. The score remained 0-0 until the 30th minute of the match. The home side were awarded a penalty after Antonio Rudiger was brought down in the box by Getafe’s Allan Nyom.
Jude Bellingham converted the spot-kick to make it 1-0. The former Dortmund man then set up Kylian Mbappe on the left wing. The Frenchman went on to score Real Madrid’s second goal in the 38th minute of the match.
Speaking after the match, manager Carlo Ancelotti showered praise on his players. He emphasized upon the need to maintain the confidence as well as the attitude. The Italian manager took heed of the team’s focus during the match, exclaiming that his side deserved to win.
He also praised Mbappe’s performance, stating that he was active and dangerous, and showed the quality that is expected out of him. Moreover, Ancelotti thanked the Real Madrid fans for supporting the team, after their slump against Liverpool.

With this win, Real Madrid are once again back into the La Liga title race this season. They are now just a point behind leaders Barcelona, also having played a game less than their rivals. Los Blancos are currently placed in 2nd position on the table, with 33 points from 14 matches.
Carlo Ancelotti provides an update on Jude Bellingham’s injury
Real Madrid starlet Jude Bellingham was taken off early at the end of the first half during the 2-0 La Liga win over Getafe, leaving fans worried. The Englishman was replaced by Arda Guler at the beginning of the second half of the match.
Speaking to reporters after the match, Carlo Ancelotti gave a positive update on the midfielder. He was the team’s star performer in the opening 45 minutes. The 21-year-old scored a penalty and assisted Kylian Mbappe, in the first half. Ancelotti informed that the midfielder was taken off due to a neck problem and dizziness, and added that it is not a serious issue.
This means that the midfielder will be available for Real Madrid’s upcoming matches, against Athletic Bilbao and Girona. The club already faces a massive injury crisis, with Vinicius Jr., David Alaba, Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao and Eduardo Camavinga out.
