Real Madrid enjoyed a lot of success, both domestically and in Europe as the Los Blancos marched their way to the UEFA Champions League and La Liga title. As the 2023/24 came to a close with Spain winning the Euros and Argentina claiming the Copa America, fans started debating about who deserved the 2024 Ballon d’Or.

Names like Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr. and Rodri have been making headlines ever since the end of the Euros. While fans are yet to finalize who the ‘deserved’ winner should be, Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti seems to have made up his mind. Speaking for a podcast, the Italian tactician snubbed Bellingham, who was undoubtedly one of his best players last season.

While Vinicius put up a show in both La Liga and the Champions League, Bellingham was rather ‘underwhelming’ in the second half of the season. His Euros with England was also subdued except for a brilliant bicycle kick against Slovakia in the Round of 16.

After heartbreak at the Euros in Germany with The Three Lions, Jude Bellingham is spending some much needed time off. The 21-year-old forward helped England to secure a spot in the final, even though they eventually fell 2-1 to Spain at Olympiastadion Berlin. As the Real Madrid man enjoyed his time off, the internet was shocked to see him linking up with an unlikely candidate in Sergio Aguero.

The latter hasn’t been kind to Real Madrid in the past, as the Argentine vocally ‘criticized’ Madrid and their players on social media. It is no secret that Aguero is a close friend of Lionel Messi and played nearly half-a-season for FC Barcelona. Aguero posted a picture with the youngster as he called him polite and friendly.

Aguero is a vocal presence on social media and has named Rodri as his Ballon d’Or winner for this year’s edition. Despite the claim, Aguero made sure to acknowledge the fact that Bellingham did in fact have a brilliant season with the champions of Europe. Bellingham recently shared several pictures of himself on vacation in Miami, Florida on Instagram.
