Carlos Alcaraz returned to the French Open after a small break due to a shoulder injury. He had gotten the injury ahead of the Indian Wells and had to pull out of a couple of clay court tournaments due to this.
However, he returned to Roland Garros and even got off to a flying start. Alcaraz was up against lucky loser J.J Wolf in the first round, and all eyes were on his form in the game. Alcaraz surprised everyone by playing some fabulous tennis and won the first match quite comfortably.
It was a quick-fire couple of sets for Alcaraz, who beat the American 6-1, 6-2, 6-1. After the match, the Spaniard made a few bold statements about his preparations for the tournament. He revealed that he had a good 2-week of preparation and is confident he does not require many matches to get back to 100%.

With this, the Spaniard moves up to the next round of the Slam and will to wait for his next opponent. The draws only get tougher for the youngster, who will hope to prove himself at the tournament. After missing a couple of tournaments, Alcaraz would hope to remind everyone of his capabilities, with a home Slam.

Spanish ace Carlos Alcaraz announced himself at the Roland Garros after a dominating first-round victory against J.J Wolf. Returning from a forearm injury, Alcaraz revealed to have felt better throughout recovery and is nearing 100%.
Adding on, Alcaraz also expressed his love for the game and is delighted to return after a short break due to an injury.
