Carlos Alcaraz has confirmed that he will be making a third consecutive appearance at the Queen’s Club Championships in 2025. Alcaraz, who ended this season with two Grand Slam titles, which also includes Wimbledon, will be aiming for a third consecutive win at SW19.

Alcaraz won the Cinch Championships in his maiden appearance in 2023. He was the top seed in the tournament and defeated then seventh seed Alex de Minaur 6-4, 6-4. And about two weeks later, he upset Novak Djokovic in a five-set thriller in the summit clash of Wimbledon to clinch his first title at the grass-court Grand Slam event.

I can’t wait to get back on the grass at The Queen’s Club next summer. Lifting the title two years ago is what gave me the belief to go on and win Wimbledon for the first time, so it always means a lot to compete there. I’m ready to come back again in 2025 and give it my all to try and win another trophy.

Alcaraz is confident about winning the Cinch Championships multiple times. This year in the tournament however, Alcaraz was knocked out in his second match, in the fourth round against home favorite Jack Draper 7-6(3), 6-3.

Paul Annacone explains why Carlos Alcaraz didn’t finish this season as World No.2

Carlos Alcaraz didn’t finish this year as World No. 2 as Alexander Zverev grabbed the sport and the former remained in the third position. Alcaraz won two Grand Slam titles (French Open and Wimbledon), one ATP Masters 1000, and one ATP 500 event.

Zverev on the other hand had bagged just two titles, Italian Open and Paris Masters. He also finished as runner-up at the French Open and reached the semifinals in ATP Finals. Roger Federer‘s former coach Paul Annacone in an interview, talked about the ranking system and lauded Zverev for a decent season.

In my opinion, Sasha Zverev has had an amazing year. The points don’t lie. He played an unbelievable amount of tennis, but if you win two majors and you’re ranked No 2 in the world, that to me says that there’s a glitch in the system.

Paul Annacone said in Tennis Channel’s Inside-In podcast

Annacone added that though Alcaraz won two majors, he didn’t play to his full potential at the Australian Open and the US Open and thinks the Spaniard had a ‘blip’ this season. Alcaraz ended his season after Spain got knocked out of the Davis Cup in Malaga.
