Carlos Alcaraz has stated that he always stays true to his roots despite becoming one of the top tennis stars on the ATP tour. Over the last two years, he has risen through the ranks, making tennis headlines more often than not.
The Spaniard has even begun challenging Novak Djokovic for titles. Last year, he played one of the best matches of his career to beat the Serbian in the Wimbledon Championships final. He bettered that performance this year, beating him on the same stage in a comprehensive manner.
With the French Open also under his belt, Alcaraz has now won four Majors at the age of 21. However, regardless of the number of titles he has, he stated that his parents are in charge when he goes back to his house in Spain.
Once I set foot in my house, I am under my parents' rules. So it doesn't matter if I've won two Grand Slams or fifteen. They are the ones who rule and I think that's the beauty of it. Once I get home I forget about the tennis part and I'm the same person as alwaysCarlos Alcaraz said via PressReader
While the World No. 3 enjoys being a normal boy when he gets home, he continues to dominate the men’s tour. He has won three titles this year — Wimbledon, Roland Garros, and Indian Wells Masters — and will be one of the favorites during the North American hard court swing.
Carlos Alcaraz excited about teaming up with Rafael Nadal at the Paris Olympics
The Paris Olympics is set to begin on July 26 and all eyes are on Spain for tennis. Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal will feature in the singles category and are also set to team up to play the doubles.
Alcaraz has stated that he will let Nadal take the lead as the 38-year-old has more experience at this stage and has also won two gold medals already.
He has already experienced the Games and won two gold medals. I am the newbie, so I have to keep my mouth shut and listen to him

In his debut Olympics, Alcaraz is considered one of the favorites to win the gold medal. With the tennis event taking place on his favored clay courts, there is a good chance he might go all the way in the French capital.
