Spanish tennis ace Carlos Alcaraz, who is a part of Team Europe, is having the best time at the 2024 Laver Cup. The 21-year-old is giving the best reactions, winning his singles matches, and cheering for his teammates. On top of that, the Spaniard ensures that the players from the opposite side do not enter his team’s premises.
Alcaraz did this by escorting Team World’s Frances Tiafoe when the latter entered Team Europe’s premises during a match between Stefanos Tsitsipas/Casper Ruud and Ben Shelton/Alejandro Tabilo.
As Tiafoe cheered and clapped while standing across the blue line- indicating the start of Team Europe’s premise, Alcaraz came forward and escorted the American to his camp. Alcaraz showed Tiafoe the blue line and asked him to stand behind it.

Alcaraz has looked like a completely different person at the Laver Cup. While the Spaniard is known for his dialed-in personality on the tour, he has been exactly the opposite of that at his first-ever Laver Cup. However, at the same time, Alcaraz has ensured his game is not affected as the Spaniard won his singles match against Ben Shelton in straight sets.
But despite his efforts, Team Europe is trailing 4-8 so far and stands on the verge of conceding the title for the third time in a row. Apart from Alcaraz, Grigor Dimitrov earned two points for Team Europe. Other than these two, every match has pushed Bjorn Borg’s team on the back foot.
Daniil Medvedev lost to Frances Tiafoe while Taylor Fritz got the best out of Alexander Zverev yet again. Casper Ruud also could not win his match against Francisco Cerundolo. If Team Europe are to win the title, they need to win all of their matches on Day 3.
