Known for his exquisite touch and ball striking, Carlos Alcaraz is one of the most talented players of the current generation. He seems to have added some additional exhibition elements to his already exuberant game, dabbling in stunning trick shot serves.
Recently, Ons Jabeur posted a video where she juggles a tennis ball on her feet before kicking it high up and serving it to the other side. In this video, she challenged other players to do it better than her and Alcaraz took it on. On a practice court today, the Spaniard was seen attempting the trick shot and succeeding with ease.
He posted his video on socials and asked Jabeur how he did, to which the multi-talented Tunisian replied “very good bravo.”
The serve, at a glance, seems to be inspired by the content that the Serbian trick shot artist, Stefan Bojic, makes. Bojic is renowned for his unbelievable trick shots and has been invited to perform at many prestigious tennis tournaments and events.
Ons Jabeur challenges fellow pros, including Alcaraz, to try her trick-shot and they react
Earlier this week, Ons Jabeur challenged her fellow pros to try their hands at a trickshot that requires great soccer skills.
The trickshot master himself, Stefan Bojic, commented “Nice one” on Jabeur’s post, appreciating the display of skill. He then said he would upgrade the trickshot and followed up with a video of his own.
Some of her colleagues, including Asia Muhammad and recently retired Garbine Muguruza, were taken aback by the shot and took to the comments to express their respect.
Others, like Aryna Sabalenka, humorously implied that it is too easy for them. Jabeur herself added a comment on the post, challenging Carlos Alcaraz, Paula Badosa, and Emma Raducanu to try it.
