Carlos Alcaraz has great admiration for Rafael Nadal and the 21-year-old never shies away from expressing it. The four-time Grand Slam champion is touted as the next big thing in tennis and hailing from the same country as Nadal, there are always comparisons.
The same happened after Alcaraz beat Holger Rune in the Six Kings Slam quarterfinals to book a semifinal clash with his Olympics doubles partner.
Alcaraz, known for his thunderous forehand, was asked to compare his forehand with Nadal‘s and rate which is better. To this, the two-time Wimbledon champion had no hesitation in picking his senior and also gave his reasons for that. The youngster pointed out that it is too early to compare his game with Nadal, who is a legend.
I have to choose Rafa’s forehand.. I’m just starting my career. I’m happy with my forehand as well. Let’s see at the end of my career who has the better forehand.
Carlos Alcaraz said in his on-court interview.
Nadal has been known for his big forehand. In fact, it is labeled one of the best in tennis for its speed and accuracy. The Spaniard has hit forehand winners from unbelievable positions. Thus, Alcaraz does not want to go into the comparisons.

Knowing he is going to retire is pretty tough for everyone, for me. I will try to enjoy sharing the court with him once again, but I think it is really difficult for everyone.

Although in an exhibition event, the face-off between Nadal and Alcaraz is going to be an interesting one. The two Spaniards have played against each other three times on the tour and the 22-time Grand Slam champion holds a 2-1 lead over his junior.
However, since their last faceoff, things have changed a lot. Nadal and Alcaraz paired up for the 2024 Paris Olympics and reached the quarterfinals.
