Spanish superstar Carlos Alcaraz paid tribute to English football Jude Bellingham after his third-round win at SW19. The Spaniard was up against Frances Tiafoe and played an amazing five-setter of a match to advance to the next round.

It was an incredible match as neither of the two backed down until the end. Even though Alcaraz was not on his best level for many games, he made Frances Tiafoe fight for it before bouncing back in the fourth set-tie-break, forcing a fifth set.

From then on, everyone knew it was Alcaraz’s match and rightly so it was the Spaniard who won 5-7, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6(2), 6-2. With the mighty escape, came the joyous celebration paying tribute to Jude Bellingham. He stood in the center of the court with his arms spread apart like how Bellingham always does it.

Alcaraz has always shown his support for football and with his favorite player Bellingham still in the mix, the Spaniard continues to pay tribute to him. He also asked for the score after the match as Spain took on Germany.

Carlos Alcaraz continues to improve records after a massive win over Frances Tiafoe

Under closed roofs, Carlos Alcaraz played one of the most thrilling matches so far in the tournament. With many half chances, both the players gave it their all. Even though Tiafoe looked to cause the biggest upset of the tournament, he was inches away from doing that

There were a lot of difficult moments in the fourth set. All I was thinking was 'OK, fight one more ball'.
Carlos Alcaraz said in the on-court interview.

In the end, Alcaraz made sure that he stayed in the tournament and fought back brilliantly in the fifth set to improve the record of fifth-set wins in majors to 12-1. This is also his 10th consecutive win in Wimbledon and he only looks stronger than ever to defend his title.

With the third round done and dusted, only tougher opponents lie further. Alcaraz will take on the winner of Ugo Humbert and Brandon Nakashima. Although Humbert is only a tie-break away from victory, it will be seen if the new day brings about new fortunes for that match.
