Carlos Alcaraz is trending in the tennis world again, this time for his upcoming Netflix documentary. The Spaniard is already considered one of the greatest tennis players of all time, despite being only 21. In the documentary, he shares a brief conversation with another GOAT, Roger Federer.
Alcaraz asked Federer about how he managed to stay motivated for so many years. The Swiss Maestro gave a simple and fitting response to the question.
He said you’ve got to enjoy the journey.
Carlos Alcaraz said in his Netflix documentary
Federer retired from professional tennis in 2022, the same year Alcaraz rose to prominence. The Spaniard won his first Grand Slam title at the US Open that year and finished the season as World No. 1.

Roger Federer finds himself among the 50 highest-paid athletes
Rafael Nadal stepped away from tennis at the end of last year. Roger Federer had already retired in 2022. Their famous rivalries are now a part of tennis history. But the competition between them lives on—this time, in the world of money. Novak Djokovic, still active at 37, is chasing his 100th title. He has already won 24 Grand Slams, more than both Federer and Nadal. The race now continues off the court.

According to Sportico, the 100 highest-paid athletes earned $6.2 billion last year. Cristiano Ronaldo led with $260 million. Stephen Curry followed with $154 million. That’s a 14% jump from the year before. But beyond yearly earnings, there’s also an all-time list. The top 50 highest-paid athletes ever have earned $53.2 billion (adjusted for inflation).
Michael Jordan leads that list with $4.15 billion. Roger Federer is not far behind at No. 9, with $1.23 billion. Only a small part of that came from prize money. Most of his wealth came from sponsorships. His biggest deal was with Uniqlo, worth $300 million. He also invested early in the shoe brand On. That stake is now worth $360 million. Federer’s other sponsors include Rolex, Wilson, and Mercedes-Benz.
Nadal ranks No. 26 on the all-time list with $735 million. He made more prize money than Federer—about $135 million. Nadal is known for sticking with sponsors for years. He’s worked with Nike, Kia, and Babolat since early in his career.
He later teamed up with brands like Richard Mille, Telefónica, Infosys, and Louis Vuitton. Novak Djokovic, still playing, is No. 33 with $690 million. He has the most prize money ever—over $186 million. His sponsors include ASICS, Head, and Lacoste. He also works with Qatar Airways and has several business investments.
Roger Federer involved in a major partnership with Mercedes
LE BERG, a creative production studio, has teamed up with the agency antoni for a new Mercedes-Benz campaign. The ad features tennis star Roger Federer and is directed by the group OG Kids. The result is a campaign that is both detailed and visually beautiful.

The focus is on MANUFAKTUR, Mercedes-Benz’s high-end customization program. The S-Class is shown not just as a car, but as a work of art. Shot on 35mm film by cinematographer Xiaolong Liu, each scene is carefully crafted like a piece in an art gallery.
The film highlights the care and personal style that go into making a custom Mercedes. Every detail is meant to show the connection between design and personal expression.
Photographer Qiu Yang also contributed to the campaign with a set of still images. These photos match the style of the film and show the car in a sleek, sculpted way. Together, the film and photos create a complete and elegant look.
