‘They are aliens,’ Spanish teen sensation speaks on the Big 3

In the last couple of years, many young players have shown immense potential. Such is the case with Carlos Alcaraz, who is just 17-year-old but has impressed everyone with his clinical performances so far. The Spaniard managed to reach the semis of the Andalucia Open 2021 but couldn’t get past Jaume Munar there.
Recently, in an interview the teen shared his thoughts about the Big 3 and also revealed his inspiration. As with many Spanish kids, Alcaraz is also massively inspired by Rafael Nadal.
He said: “When I see him play, I see energy, strength, desire and passion to compete. He’s won all those big twenty, and he still wants more . Isn’t that incredible?”

The Spaniard also spoke about the imoact of Big 3. He said that the Big 3 are ‘Alien’ like and have worked very hard to stay at the top of the sport.
“Federer, Djokovic … there will never be a rivalry like the Big Three,” he said.
“They are aliens, there are no such types. If they are like this, at their age, it is not a matter of luck, nor a coincidence. The key is in work, in being humble and in playing each day as if it were your last.”
