Carlos Alcaraz loves playing golf on his off day and on the eve of Wimbledon, he enjoyed a battle with none other than Andy Murray, who beat him that day. But they again played and this time, the Spaniard tied the score.

Alcaraz is now challenged by another opponent for a round of golf. It’s Hollywood star Tom Holland.

Holland was in the stands when Alcaraz was practicing before his Wimbledon quarterfinal match against home favorite Cameron Norrie. Alcaraz met the British actor later and lauded him for his golf skills.

Tom! I saw you playing golf as well eh? Good swing, good swing.

Carlos Alcaraz said

Holland said, “We should play!” and Alcaraz agreed. Though when they will meet again is not known.

Once we set up a match on golf, I just go for it. I saw him playing sometimes. There are some videos of him playing. I would say he could beat me. But I would love to play against him on the golf course. For me, it would be such an honor. I’ll try to set it up in these two days that I will have time to do it. Let’s see if he’ll be available.

Carlos Alcaraz said at the press conference after beating Cameron Norrie

At present, Alcaraz is focusing on how he can win his third consecutive Wimbledon title. He secured an easy 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 win over Norrie to book a berth in the semifinals for the third consecutive time. The last two times he reached the semifinals, he ended up playing the finals and lifting the trophies.

Alcaraz is bidding to become the fifth man in the Open Era to take home three titles at Wimbledon on the trot. In the last two finals, he beat 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, who he could again meet if he reaches the final and if the Serb beats Flavio Cobolli in the quarterfinals and Jannik Sinner or Ben Shelton in the semifinals.

Carlos Alcaraz aims to give his best against his semifinal opponent Taylor Fritz

Carlos Alcaraz opened up on how he has to raise his level during his semifinal clash because he will be up against Taylor Fritz. The American ace set up the clash with the five-time Grand Slam champion after overcoming 17th seed Karen Khachanov.

Fritz kick-started his bid for his first Wimbledon title after lifting the Eastbourne International trophy for the fourth time. Before Eastbourne, the 27-year-old was defeated in the opening round of the Queen’s Club by Corentin Moutet. But at the Stuttgart Open, he was successful in defeating World No.3 Alexander Zverev in the final.

His grass season this year has been really successful so far. He’s playing great tennis, his game is quite good on grass, playing flat, aggressive, with a big serve. I’ll try to focus, show my best tennis. I’ll try to play at the same level or even higher than today. If I play like today, I’ll surely have a chance.

Carlos Alcaraz said at the press conference

Fritz has moved into the Wimbledon semifinal for the first time. Wimbledon is the second Major event where Fritz booked a spot in the last four after the US Open, where last year, he lost to Jannik Sinner in the final.

Alcaraz has met the World No.5 twice, winning both matches. But they will be playing for the first time on grass, where Fritz is a five-time champion, while Alcaraz has won four titles.

The World No.2 is aiming to complete the Channel Slam for two consecutive seasons. At the French Open, the 22-year-old came from two sets down to beat Sinner and defend his title.
