Carmella talks about WWE return (via WWE)
Carmella last appeared in WWE in May 2023, in a match against Bianca Belair on an episode of Raw. It has now been over a year since fans saw the 36-year-old on WWE TV, and they wonder when she will be making her return to the promotion.
Speaking on the Nikki & Brie show, Carmella talked about her hiatus from WWE due to her pregnancy. The former Women’s Champion said that she missed her fans and performing in the ring. She had fallen in love with wrestling and had been doing it for more than eleven years now.
The first Ms. Money in the Bank wanted to prove to herself that she could go through the experience of labor and pregnancy and still come back to the ring. However, she revealed that her body was completely different from what it used to be. She had been suffering from drop foot since giving birth.
My body is completely different from the inside out,’ but I’d love to go back and prove that I can. No one else, just to myself. Unfortunately, I’ve been dealing with, what is called drop foot.

The Staten Island Princess suffered an injury from her labor, delivery, and pushing the baby out. She had herniated discs in her back, which pushed on a nerve connected to her right foot. This has forced her to limp around. Thankfully, the injury has gotten better. Lastly, she asserted that, despite having been wrestling for 11 years, she had never suffered a major injury in her career.
Tiffany Stratton responds to praise received from Carmella during her hiatus
Although physically unable to perform, Carmella makes sure to keep up with the product even while on hiatus. On a recent episode of SmackDown, Tiffany Stratton was wearing ring gear that was highly similar to that of the former 24/7 Champion. Therefore, a fan tweeted out a side-by-side comparison of the two.
The former Rose Bud saw this comparison and responded, saying that she loved her some “Tiffy Time.” Stratton replied to this tweet by blowing kisses at her. Several fans talked about how they wanted to see the former dancer return to the blue brand and be put on the same show as the Center of the Universe for a feud or to work together as a team.
With WWE recently becoming more willing to keep married wrestlers on the same brand, there is a high chance that Carmella will be returning to SmackDown, where her husband, Corey Graves, works as a play-by-play commentator. After all, she was known as the Crown Princess of SmackDown Live’ and was a key player in the blue brand’s women’s division in 2016 after the brand split.
