Carolina Wozniacki has shared a good relationship with Serena Williams in the past years. The duo were fierce rivals on court, but their bond has grown closer in the past few years. The two players faced against each other 11 times on a tennis court, with Serena Williams dominating the Danish player. Serena leads the head to head encounter by a score-line of 10-1.

In a one-to-one interview with Chris Evert, Caroline Wozniacki revealed her thoughts on Serena Williams. The former player stated that the American was like an elder sister to her. Speaking of her abilities on court, she stated that Serena was a fierce competitor on court.

“Serena is amazing. I love her and you know, she is such a fierce competitor, but she is such a great friend. And she really, you know, is like a big sister to me. And it’s really great that when you need someone, I know who to call and she is like the best person to call,” Wozniacki added. 

Caroline Wozniacki played the last match of her amazing career in the third round of the Australian Open 2020, where she lost against Ons Jabeur. On the other hand, Serena Williams is still going strong, and will return to action at the Italian Open 2021 to be played later this month.
