Carson Beck, one of the hottest quarterback prospects, made a U-turn and decided against entering the 2025 NFL draft. Instead, the former Georgia Bulldogs starter opted to extend his stay in college football and committed to the Miami Hurricanes to link up with his girlfriend Hanna Cavinder.
While most believe Cavinder is the primary reason Beck committed to Miami, people forget the 22-year-old was born in Jacksonville, Florida, and played for Mandarin High School before joining Georgia, a team that boasted a quarterback room comprised of Los Angeles Rams QB Stetson Bennett and JT Daniels.
There are also rumors of a falling out between Beck and his teammates. According to reports from NFL Rookie Watch, the Georgia players were fed up with Beck and Cavinder to the point they started avoiding the pair. It’s one of the reasons Beck transferred to Miami to be with his girlfriend.
Whatever the reason may be, Beck will be closer to his girlfriend throughout the year before making his jump to the NFL.

Carson Beck’s girlfriend is Hanna Cavinder, a basketball player at the University of Miami. Hanna is the third of five Cavinder sisters. Eldest sister Brooke, next oldest Brandi, twin Haley, and younger sister Natalie.
Where is Hanna Cavinder from?
Cavinder was born in South Bend, Indiana, one minute after and one pound (454 g) lighter than her twin sister, Haley. She completed her schooling at Gilbert High School in Arizona, where she played basketball. Later moved to California State University in Fresno to play for the Fresno State Bulldogs in 2019 before transferring to the University of Miami in 2023 with Haley to play for the Hurricanes basketball team.

A month later, Beck uploaded a few photos on Instagram, announcing his return to Georgia. In the carousel of photos, fans noticed he added a shot of him holding hands with Cavinder.

Hanna Cavinder plays as a guard for the Miami Hurricanes women’s basketball team. She played 34 games for the Canes in 2023 but did not start a single game—contributing 1.3 rebounds per game, 1.6 points per game, and 0.6 steals per game.
In her college career, she has played a total of 123 games and started on 87 occasions, all of them for the Fresno State Bulldogs. Her total average game time is 30.5 minutes; she converted 42.5% of her field goal tries and 29.7% of the time she converted 3-pointers.

Hanna and Haley have a massive social media following on various platforms, including YouTube (157k followers, although they last posted a full-length video nine months ago but continue to upload shorts), Instagram (965k followers), and TikTok where the twins regularly upload workout videos.
They created a YouTube account back in 2021 but could not monetize their merchandise, apparel, and various other things. In the meantime, the NIL revolution was setting in, and some of their classmates who belonged to other streams started to earn decent money. The twins then became the face of the NIL and left YouTube for good before monetizing their channel.
In 2024, both Hanna and Haley walked away from Miami to completely focus on their social media careers. The move paid off when Forbes included the twins in their 50 Under 50 list. However, they have agreed to come back and play for the Canes again—perhaps another reason for Beck to move back to Florida.
