Casper Rudd became the highest-ranked player and 1st ATP Tour champion from Norway by winning the 2020 Buenos Aires. In the process he surpassed his father and coach Christian, who peaked at No. 39 after reaching the 1995 Bastad final. Casper reached his first ATP Masters 1000 Semi-Finals at 2020 Rome.

In addition, he advanced to a Grand Slam Fourth-round for the first time at the 2021 Australian Open. Casper is also an equally good golf player, he and his friends also have an Instagram page only dedicated to Golf. 

Rafael Nadal inspired Casper Rudd to become a professional tennis player

Casper Rudd is currently in Mallorca practicing in the Rafael Nadal academy with Nadal himself. Nadal shared a pic on the 1st of April confirming it. Casper last played Tennis at the Acapulco Open in Mexico. He withdrew in the Quarter-Final stage where he was scheduled to play Alexander Zverev. But withdrew due to an injury in his wrist.

Casper, who is in full preparation mode for the upcoming clay court season, is mighty impressed with the facilities and courts at the academy. He says that the academy is adding around fifteen more courts to the already existing ones. He believes that this academy is definitely in the top 10 when it comes to having a career in Tennis. Casper also likes the city of Mallorca.

Casper said, “Rafael Nadal is one of the reasons I wanted to become a pro. His Academy is great. They are building like fifteen new courts.” He continued, “ It’s definitely one of the best ten places to focus on your career in tennis. Mallorca is also a nice place.”
