I can only say good things about Carlos. I had the opportunity to spend time with him this week, he is a fantastic man. What he does is incredible, having a young guy like him is great news for tennis. He is capable of doing incredible things on the court, he has a talent rarely seen in this sport and I have a lot of admiration for him because what he does is spectacular.Casper Ruud said to the reporters (H/T Tennis365)
Alcaraz and Ruud share a special history together. Their most memorable encounter came at the 2022 US Open final, where the Spaniard won in four sets to claim his first Grand Slam title.
I hope he continues to improve and that he is able to beat him in the future, but I also hope that he continues to have a lot of success for many years to come.Casper Ruud added

Carlos Alcaraz puts Team Europe level with Team World at the Laver Cup
Carlos Alcaraz defeated Ben Shelton 6-4, 6-4 on Saturday (September 21) at the Laver Cup. With this win, Team Europe tied the score with Team World on the second day. Alcaraz has won the French Open and Wimbledon this year and is one of the biggest profile players in the Laver Cup this year.
First of all, I am really happy to be part of Team Europe for the first time, and am trying to be the best player that I can be to help my team. I played against a player that is really powerful, a really tough one, I’m really happy because I played a really solid match since the beginning.Carlos Alcaraz told the reporters
Alcaraz showed great control in key moments, saving all five break points he faced. He broke Shelton’s powerful left-handed serve once in each set, securing the win. Earlier, Frances Tiafoe made a comeback to beat Daniil Medvedev. This leveled the teams at 4-4 ahead of the Saturday night session in Berlin’s Uber Arena.
Alcaraz, despite having a weaker serve, won 78% of his first serve points. Shelton only managed 66%. Alcaraz also hit 23 winners, eight more than Shelton. Germany’s Alexander Zverev was set to face Taylor Fritz next, followed by a doubles match.
