“A perfect fit for a tennis player,” Casper Ruud speaks about the Rafa Nadal Academy
Casper Ruud, the 22-year-old Norwegian has been the talk of the town in tennis circles across the globe and Norway for the amazing start he has taken at the top level at the tour.
The youngster became the first Norwegian ever to win an ATP title, the 2020 Argentina Open and later finished runner-up at the 2020 Chile Open. He also became the first Norwegian who made it into the semi-finals of the ATP Tour Masters 1000 event at the 2020 Italian Open.
Ruud recently trained at the Rafa Nadal Academy and was impressed by the facilities and expansion projects that are in place at the academy. It is reported 15 more courts are under construction at the academy. Ruud considered the academy as one of the top ten places in the world where one can learn the best tennis.
Casper appreciating the system said, “It’s great. You’ve been there and seen the facility and they are growing and expanding with like fifteen new courts. So it’s definitely one of the best ten places to focus on your career in tennis and become one of the best tennis players in the world.”

Casper Ruud talked how Rafael Nadal is an inspiration to all young players and called the academy a perfect place for any player who wants to make it big in the game.
“It’s a perfect fit for a tennis player. Look at Rafa, he’s one of the greatest of all time and that’s where he’s from. He’s done all of his life and training from Mallorca, and that’s an indication of how good a place it is,” he says.
The academy is situated in Mallorca which also caught the eye of the young Norwegian.
“Mallorca is a nice place and a nice island, especially from March until November-December month. It’s a great place to be in… You have tennis and also have a nice scenery where you can relax,” he concluded.
