Out of the 128 players, 8 men have made it to the quarterfinals, where only four will advance. All four games promise excitement, including a rematch of the 2023 Roland Garros Finals between Casper Ruud and Novak Djokovic.
In a 7-6(6), 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 victory against Taylor Fritz, Ruud had battled hard in the first set to gain a close but formidable lead against the American. The second set was all Fritz and even looked comfortable in the third until Ruud started showing signs of a comeback.
Ruud denied Fritz the change and closed out the match in four consecutive games to advance to his third consecutive quarterfinals. Now the challenge begins for the 25-year-old Norwegian, who will face Novak Djokovic for a spot in the last four. Ruud’s fans will be happy with what he said ahead of this matchup.
I’m playing the quarterfinal in a few days against Novak. I have nothing to lose. I’m gonna try to enjoy it. It’s gonna be another match against him. It’s always tough.Casper Ruud said via Roland Garros Press
Furthermore, he also spoke about taking revenge against the Serbian for the French Open finals win. It is a perfect opportunity for Ruud to cause a major upset in the tournament and also to end Djokovic’s run as World No.1.

Casper Ruud expresses his disappointment at the French Open late-night schedules
Norwegian pro Casper Ruud also took a dig at the French Open’s late-night scheduling as he also finished a couple of his matches late in the night. He was playing almost simultaneously with Novak Djokovic and Lorenzo Musetti on the other court.
Similar to Djokovic’s match, Ruud also had a long match, where he beat Tomas Etcheverry in a four-hour game. Following that were his hours of recovery and media, which lasted till 3:00 am when he made a post about the late-night scheduling.

Furthermore, he also replied to a fan, about his post-match media commitments and recovery after that.
I just finished my match 2 hours ago. After that I have to cool down on the bike for 15 minutes, do press/media, ice bath for 10 minutes, shower, eat and then get treatment/massage. I’m currently at the treatment stageCasper Ruud continued in X

Every time Ruud has made it to the quarterfinals at the Roland Garros, he has made it to the finals. Even though he has not won a Grand Slam yet, he is in great touch to do so.
