Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets was the stand-out performer against the Minnesota Timberwolves in game 5. With 40 points and 13 assists, Jokic’s performance was nothing short of MVP-caliber. Notably, he garnered all the praise and attention from the NBA community for his monstrous performance.

Many were taken aback by Nikola Jokic’s dunks in Game 5 of the NBA playoffs against the Minnesota Timberwolves, despite his reputation being more for his skill than his athleticism. Jokic acknowledged his out-of-character plays after the game, humorously crediting them to his natural ability.

His outstanding performance helped the Denver Nuggets defeat the Timberwolves 112-97, advancing them one game closer to the next round of the NBA playoffs. It remains to be seen how Jokic and his Nuggets side perform in the upcoming game 6 against the Timberwolves on Thursday, May 15.

Nikola Jokic dropped one of his best performances against the Timberwolves and the reigning DPOY Rudy Gobert in game 5. Jokic completely outclassed Gobert with his performance in the paint. Many analysts praised Jokic’s gameplay against Gobert in game 5. Shannon Sharpe, the ex-NFL player was amongst them.

Jokic’s degree of dominance was impressive to Sharpe as per his social media post on X (formerly Twitter), who remarked that it appeared as though an amateur was protecting the Nuggets’ center while he made moves and scored whenever he pleased.

However, Sharpe was not the only player to call out Gobert. NBA great, Draymond Green also called out Gobert for his abysmal performance against Jokic and the Denver Nuggets. In addition, apart from Gobert, the Timberwolves star man Anthony Edwards also had an off night, scoring only 18 points in their game 5 loss.
