CeeDee Lamb may be one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, but even he goes through a slump. The Dallas Cowboys star player lost his cool at quarterback Dak Prescott after a series of bad plays against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Following the drubbing at the hands of the New Orleans Saints in week 2, the Cowboys needed to bounce back but fell behind to consecutive Ravens touchdowns from Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry.

Fortunately, for the Cowboys, they have a kicker who cannot miss. Brandon Aubrey scored a 65-yard field goal (second longest in NFL history) to reduce the scoreline.

The Cowboys had a great opportunity to close the gap even further after Prescott found Lamb for an 18-yard gain, but not before they were handed a five-yard penalty for holding. However, the very next play, the Sooners graduate fumbled the ball near the Ravens 9-yard line. The drive ended with the Ravens pouncing on the ball.

CeeDee Lamb wasn’t happy with his performance on the night. He only caught the four times gaining 67 yards and the costly fumble. Cameras caught him venting his frustration because of the lack of chances.

None can deny that CeeDee Lamb is a top-3 receiver in the league; hence, the Cowboys agreed to a $136 million deal over 4 years. It only cost them his entire off-season because Lamb skipped the entire training schedule, as he wasn’t getting paid.

Fans who have closely followed Lamb’s games over the years highlighted that it was the wideout’s own fault for not practicing with the team enough before the season. That lack of cohesiveness began to show in the Ravens game.

CeeDee Lamb’s tantrum almost launched a comeback for the Cowboys

Lamb was a mere spectator in the remainder of the game as Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson connected with Henry once more and Rashod Bateman to make it 28-6 at the end of the third quarter.

Remarkably, the Cowboys led a late push for a comeback. Prescott realized that Lamb was heavily guarded by the Ravens, which left room for others. He began the resurgence through a 1-yard rushing touchdown and then found Jalen Tolbert and KaVontae Turpin for back-to-back touchdowns for 15 and 16 yards.

The Cowboys scored 19 points in the fourth quarter, but the referees had already signaled the 2-minute warning. Jackson played it smart, unlike the Raiders game, and kept hold of the ball until the final whistle. The game ended 28-25.

CeeDee Lamb’s night ended with 67 yards while tight end Jake Ferguson caught 6 passes for 95 yards. Rico Dowdle had the most carries among the Cowboys’ running backs with 8 for 32 yards, and Ezekiel Elliott was limited to just 3 rushes.

As for the Ravens, Jackson completed 12/15 for 182 yards and 1 touchdown, along with 14 carries for 87 yards and 1 rushing touchdown. Derrick Henry ran the ball 25 times for 151 yards and scored 2 touchdowns.
