Time to go Villain? CeeDee Lamb’s cryptic post suggests complications in contract talks with Cowboys
CeeDee Lamb's message including Spider-Man seems to be related to his contract after he refused the latest offered amount from the Dallas-based NFL franchise.

The Dallas Cowboys are testing CeeDee Lamb’s patience, forcing him to post cryptic social media updates. Lamb’s latest post included a click of the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man.
That doesn’t sound anything out of the ordinary for the layman until one realizes the imagery behind the picture and the possible message the star receiver tried to convey. It’s serious.
Amidst the ongoing negotiations for an extension, Lamb chose to upload a photo of actor Toby Maguire/Peter Parker putting on his Spiderman mask. However, the interesting part of it was the color, which wasn’t the vibrant red and blue but rather the black version from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3.
In the movie, Parker’s personality shifts from being a straight and law-abiding citizen to an individual who simply does not care anymore and chooses to do whatever he prefers.
CeeDee Lamb perhaps hinted at his running out of patience because the Cowboys’ first offer since his holdout began was below his expectations. The change of the suit may refer to a change of jerseys. He could be thinking about playing somewhere else if they fail to meet his demands.

Lamb will earn just over $17 million in 2024, and next year he will enter free agency if the Cowboys don’t pick up his fifth-year option. He roughly wants similar or close to the Minnesota Vikings wideout Justin Jefferson’s $35 million annual salary. A deal that includes $110 million and $88.743 million of overall guarantees and fully guaranteed money is the most for any receiver.
Former Cowboys WR wants the team to pay CeeDee Lamb
The Cowboys possess the leverage to double down on the Lamb if he continues to stay from training. He is still under contract and may have to pay a fine of around $100,000. Haason Reddick learned the hard way.
Lamb’s quest for a new deal received the backing of his predecessor, Dez Bryant. The former Cowboys star isn’t a fan of Jerry Jones dragging out the negotiations.
I don’t like whenever players are holding out for what is rightfully owed… It hurts the dynamic of the team and the player relationship with the organization… Yes, it’s business, but it’s bad business! Pay the man!Dez Bryant wrote on X

Bryant wants Lamb on the Cowboys roster beyond the 2024 and 2024 seasons. He further supported the 25-year-old earning similar to Jefferson.
CeeDee Lamb deserves a Justin Jefferson contract! No flaws on you pimp! Your value is worth the wait.Dez Bryant wrote on X

Your value is worth the wait ??
Jones is keeping an eye on everything, and when asked about it recently, the veteran owner claimed that Lamb’s presence at camp is missed but not enough to get fast-tracked on the negotiations. It simply means Jones is in no hurry to extend the all-pro player’s deal.
