Dallas Cowboys fans were delighted to hear about CeeDee Lamb’s extension, but none more so than Charlotte Jones. The executive vice president and chief brand officer and also the daughter of owner Jerry Jones couldn’t hold back her excitement.
On Tuesday, when the teams throughout the NFL were locking in their 53-man roster, massive news came out of Jerry Land. The Cowboys signed CeeDee Lamb to a four-year $136 million deal with $100 million guaranteed after a long holdout from their star wide receiver.
Shortly after Lamb reached Arlington and penned his new deal, he took a picture with Charlotte from the facility. Charlotte was clearly overjoyed as she posted a snap in which she was tightly hugging the 25-year-old.
CeeDee Lamb revealed what the new deal with the Dallas Cowboys meant for him personally
Lamb was one of the standout players last season, breaking the Cowboys’ single campaign record for reception (135) and receiving yards (1749). He kept the legacy of the #88 alive.

His sensational numbers were the reason Jerry Jones decided to sign an extension, even though it was cutting it close. After penning the new contract, reporters asked him the most special thing about the new deal. Lamb said it was for his family, especially his mom.
Retiring my mom and letting my dad know he's good. Calling my grandmother—she was crying. It was an amazing time. Just being able to give my family that financial freedom they've always wanted.CeeDee Lamb said, per Cowboys beat writer Clarence Hill Jr.
Dad Cliff Hill and mom Leta Ramirez split when Lamb was a kid, and he grew up at his grandma’s house. The Sun revealed that Leta worked as a medical assistant at the University of Texas Health Center and used to drive CeeDee regularly to football practice.
They've been working their tails off their whole life, so I understand where my grind comes from—my passion. I'm just happy I can do that for my grandma, my mom, my dad, my brothers—the list can go on and on.CeeDee Lamb said.

Lamb has two brothers: Christian Lamb and Tarbibean Ramirez, and two sisters: Andres Lamb and Brianna Lamb.
Now that he is back in the game, Lamb only has one goal in mind, and that is to win the Super Bowl with quarterback Dak Prescott. They need to wrap it up in the 2024 season because Prescott will be out of contract afterward, and there’s no guarantee whether Jones will renew it because there’s a cap hit of $60 million.
Regardless, the Cowboys need to learn from their past mistakes. They are one of the best, if not the best, regular-season teams, but it’s in the playoffs they struggle the most. Last season they lost to the Green Bay Packers at AT&T Stadium in the Wild Card round.
