As one can imagine, playing at a high level in most sports requires a high level of concentration towards one’s body. It is also known that the upkeep is quite expensive with the workout plans, diet practices, and other miscellaneous aspects of being fit enough to be an NFL athlete.
CeeDee Lamb, the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, recently revealed how much he spends to keep his body intact and fit. The 6’2″ 26-year-old from Louisiana has a shredded physique and weighs 200 lbs. The wideout, who’s very lean, has a very low body fat percentage thanks to spending a good amount of time in the gym.
The Louisianian reportedly spends more than $1.3 million per year to maintain his physique and body. The admission came in a recent interview with Brighid Tully of Complex, who shadowed the player during a shoot for Under Armour.
I’m not going to lie. It’s a lot of money. Every two weeks is $50,000 … there’s 52 weeks in a year. … That’s your number.

His recovery routine reads like something off a luxury spa menu, featuring ice baths, hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms. The list doesn’t stop there.
Lamb also engages in a hyperbaric chamber, a pressurized enclosure that allows individuals to breathe 100% oxygen at a pressure greater than atmospheric pressure. This helps reduce swelling, promote healing, and increase oxygen levels in the bloodstream, potentially accelerating recovery after injuries and intense workouts.
Furthermore, he also does red light therapy from time to time. Makes one think back to the holdout last season and the record-breaking deal.
The list could go on and on.
CeeDee Lamb highlighted
As for the season, Lamb pointed that the short weeks are more punishing than the typical six to seven-day stretches. The Cowboys had some tight schedules in the past season, with barely three days between two matches. Nevertheless, he is committed to being fit and maintaining peak physical condition.
CeeDee Lamb thinks being healthy is the first step to coming back to form
The Dallas Cowboys’ 2024 season was a rollercoaster marked by inconsistency and tough breaks, finishing with a record of 7–10. They started strong with a dominant win over the Cleveland Browns, but early momentum quickly faded with back-to-back losses.

Lamb faced injury woes throughout the season before stepping out completely following his shoulder injury. In relation to that, he opened up about how they are planning for the next season in an interview with Forbes.
For one, stay healthy. Let’s start there. I feel like we can get a lot more done, myself included, because towards the end of the season, I was a little banged up. I know for my team, the best thing that I could do is be available, and I take real, true accountability to that.

Maybe the hefty investment is part of his plan to be ready to do whatever it takes to win the Super Bowl.
Chad Johnson has a hilarious way to save CeeDee Lamb from spending $1.3 million
Chad Johnson, a fellow wide receiver like CeeDee Lamb, tweeted a hilarious way to stop CeeDee Lamb from spending a humongous amount every year to maintain his physical well-being. Johnson, a six-time Pro Bowler, played 11 seasons spread across the New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, and the Cincinnati Bengals.
Johnson joked that he could save the 26-year-old Louisianian around $1.2 million. His suggestion was pretty simple.
Yo, [CeeDee Lamb] I can eliminate this expense by 1.2 million, all you need is a gym membership & McDonalds.

It is a bit unconventional and probably intended funnily.
