- Caitlin Clark served as the celebrity photographer for the Lakers vs. Pacers game, capturing moments of her favorite player, LeBron James.
- LeBron James has consistently supported Clark, celebrating her achievements despite her short WNBA career.
- Luka Doncic expressed admiration for Clark, acknowledging her talent and stating he is a big fan of her playing style.
WNBA superstar point guard Caitlin Clark has long maintained that she considers Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James as the GOAT of basketball.
It did help when the four-time champion continuously supported her, particularly when the then-Fever rookie was subjected to some petty jealousy from current and former women’s basketball players.
Then, the 41-year-old would time and again celebrate Clark’s accomplishments, even though she has not played two full seasons in the WNBA.
It all came full circle when LeBron James met the Iowa native, and from photos, the Fever point guard’s admiration for the NBA’s all-time leading scorer was evident.
That was last year, and the two have not met officially until their paths crossed again when the Lakers arrived at Gainbridge Fieldhouse to play the last of their six-game road trip against the Indiana Pacers.
The organization asked Caitlin Clark to become their celebrity photographer for the game, and the 24-year-old agreed, knowing she would be capturing players she knows.
The Iowa Hawkeyes great suited up with her Pacers Digital bib and sat courtside in her custom seat adorned with a bedazzled version of the signature logo Nike designed for her.
Then, as she went through her process of primarily photographing Pacers players, LeBron James took a tumble. This was late in the second quarter, and the Lakers’ superstar, who has voiced his frustrations with officials, instantly got up and went at them.

At that time, the broadcast cameras switched to Clark, and she, with a smile on her face, started snapping away, watching her favorite basketball player have a crashout.
Caitlin Clark has a fan in Luka Doncic
Caitlin Clark could not meet up with LeBron James after the game, as she is contractually tied to the Pacers’ organization. But there were instances where it was evident that the two may have exchanged greetings in the middle of the game.

After the game, reporters could not speak with the King, and instead, asked Luka Doncic if he noticed the ‘photographer’ Caitlin Clark. He looked confused, after which the reporter let him know that the Fever guard was courtside. Then the reporter asked if he had a relationship with Clark.
Not really much, but I’m a big fan for sure. I watch a lot of games. Definitely her hooping is great to watch. For sure, gotta go to a game to see her.
Luka Doncic replied
The last time the Slovenian talked about the WNBA superstar, he had nothing but high praise for her shooting ability, as then, she was still in college.

Luka: “…the photographer?”
Reporter: “well Caitlin Clark the WNBA player.”
Luka: “Oh I did see…I’m a big fan for sure I watch a lot of games. Definitely her hooping is great to watch. For sure gotta go to a game to see her.” pic.twitter.com/GrZireQiq9
Now, he reiterated that he wants to meet her once, and he can do that if he stays in the United States when the WNBA season starts in May.
Caitlin Clark pats herself after taking stellar photos
While Caitlin Clark was busy with the camera, her personal photographer, Bri Lewerke, remarked how the Fever star was finding out in real time how hard it is to move around holding that camera and the lens.
The point guard replied to it, suggesting Lewerke not to doubt her capabilities, and wait for the proof of her pudding to appear. When it was time, the 6’0″ basketball star wrote this:
I kinda cooked.
Caitlin Clark wrote on X
This was her response when the Pacers released the photographs she had taken. Since the Fever star worked as their celebrity photographer for just the first half, it is clear their digital media team had time to sort through her pictures and publish the best ones.

In the past, Clark has played the role of part-time photographer when she was struggling with injuries and had to sit on the bench. It seems she is proving herself to be capable in yet another field.
