When Chad Gable walked out to the ring on this week’s Raw, there was a lot he needed to get off his chest. He started by recapping what happened a few days ago in Montreal. Gable repudiated Sami Zayn for snatching away the moment that he believed was meant for him. Then came the turn of his fellow Alpha Academy members. And out of them, Maxxine Dupri bore the brunt.
He initially called her pretty as a princess but dumb as a box of rocks. The 2012 US Olympian chastised Dupri for not making the most of her training sessions. As for the record, The Alpha Queen has been called out a number of times in recent months owing to her sloppy in-ring acumen. Before Chad unloaded on Maxxine, he lashed out at Akira Tozawa for raking up nothing but losses every time he got a match.
Last but not least, Master Gable called Otis the biggest disappointment of all. But he didn’t stop there. The 38-year-old told his stablemates that’s what they needed out of the academy they’re in—a harsh but true assessment. Chad then reverted his focus back to the Intercontinental Championship. He urged his No. 1 guy, Otis, to say that he’d assist Gable in capturing the working man’s title no matter what.
And Maxxine, sweet miss Maxxine....pretty as a princess, right? But dumb as a box of rocks.Chad Gable to Maxxine Dupri on Raw
After much reluctance, the 330-pounder ceded to a tyrannic Gable. The latter had a golden opportunity to silence his naysayers last week. However, he couldn’t get past a spirited Sami Zayn and callously assaulted the former Honorary Uce after the match. Despite a kick in the teeth, Chad Gable seems hellbent on keeping his foot on the gas pedal until he gets it done.
Chad Gable makes a bold statement after this week’s Raw
Last week, it was reported that there’s been some talk of The Creed Brothers potentially joining forces with Chad Gable. The two helped the Minnesota native regain his mojo before last week’s title showdown in Montreal.
Last night on Raw, Julius and Brutus were nowhere to be found. However, the upcoming weeks, especially post-draft, would be interesting. Sami Zayn has his back against the wall. In a backstage segment on Raw, he was pummeled by “Big” Bronson Reed.
The Aussie grappler had already declared his intentions to chase the gold Zayn has. And what Chad declared on Raw Talk last night would only add to Sami’s woes. He said that what the fans saw this week was his real self. He just had to re-wire a bit and get back to his best.
