A few days ago, top football prospect Travis Hunter dropped a bold claim regarding MLB superstar Shohei Ohtani. In an interview, he claimed that him playing in two positions is difficult than Ohtani. Former NFL star Chad Johnson on Monday gave a bizarre take regarding this.
Hunter plays as a cornerback and a wide receiver on the football field. Whereas Ohtani works as a designated hitter (DH) and takes the role of a starting pitcher as well. In 2024, the Japanese star only played as a DH though due to an elbow injury in 2023 which saw him undergo a surgery.
Hunter’s comment sparked several debates across social media, with many people calling him out. In a recent episode of ESPN’s First Take, Johnson joined Stephen A. Smith, Shannon Sharpe, and Molly Qerim to discuss this comment of the 21-year-old football star.
The former Cincinnati Bengals star would disagree with the comments of Hunter. He then proceeded to make some wild comments while comparing the two sports.
The two most difficult things in life are hitting a baseball and keeping a woman happy long term.

While Hunter has excelled in college football and is one of the top names heading into the 2025 NFL Draft, he has yet to play as a two-way star on the big stage. On the other hand, Ohtani has played as both a hitter and pitcher at the major league level.
As Hunter prepares for a huge year, Ohtani is trying to get back in shape as a pitcher. The 2024 NL MVP is expected to go back to his two-way role this year and could make his first start as a pitcher for the Dodgers in May.
