Similarly, FC Bayern Munich congratulated Daniil Medvedev after the Russian lifted the greatest title of his career at the Nitto ATP Finals.

The 24-year-old made an epic comeback in the final showdown to oust World No.3 Dominic Thiem 4-6, 7-6(2), 6-4. The Munich-based football club commended Medvedev on his record-breaking and historic win in their own style.

Bayern Munich is an elite soccer club that plays in the German Bundesliga. Further, they hold countless records across the board and are the most successful German football team in history. 

Likewise, Medvedev became the first player in ATP Finals history to defeat the World No.1, 2 and 3 at the same tournament. Recognising the sheer audacity and toil a such as this takes, FC Bayern congratulated Medvedev and printed a jersey to his name.

Medvedev responded to this gracious gesture on twitter by writing, “This is very cool!!!”

Furthermore, fellow German tennis champ, Sabine Lisicki extended an invitation for the Russian to catch FC Bayern in action. “Let me know if you want to watch a game,” she stated.
