Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) rescued 15 people including players and members of the Los Angeles Chargers after they were reportedly trapped in a downtown Dallas hotel. The Chargers’ traveling party were stuck in a blind shaft between the 3rd and 15th floors of the Westin Hotel in Dallas.

The Westin Hotel technician attempted to get the elevator running. The DFR had to send their Urban Search and Rescue Team after the technician’s futile attempts.

The Chargers social media issued a statement explaining the rescue situation. The statement said that the 15 members had to be assisted “one-by-one” through the elevator’s ceiling panel. They also thanked the DFR for their quick response and help. Furthermore, ESPN reported that Jim Harbaugh invited all the members of the DFR for the team lunch with the players and members.

The Los Angeles Chargers are in Dallas for their last preseason game. The Chargers will be playing the Dallas Cowboys before leaving for their first game in Charlotte.

Can Jim Harbaugh help the Chargers find a base?

Jim Harbaugh joined the Los Angeles Chargers as their head coach after nine seasons with the Michigan Wolverines college football team. He led the team to their first NCAA Championship in the CFP era and 12th overall title in 2023.

Jim Harbaugh has previously coached the San Francisco 49ers for four seasons. Under his stint, the 49ers reached two NFC Championship games and a Super Bowl final. The highlight is that before Harbaugh’s arrival, the San Francisco team had eight seasons with no postseason.

The Chargers haven’t had a good season last year, losing twelve games. They will be counting on Harbaugh’s knack to uplift teams and create magic out of it. It is also expected that he could unlock the potential of Justin Herbert.

However, things are looking not so good for Harbaugh. In his first-team preseason games, the Chargers are 2-0 down. The fans aren’t happy either, especially due to the uncontested, given-up attitude from the Chargers against the Seahawks.
