Charles Barkley apologizes to Canada over Donald Trump tariffs as Team USA face defeat in 4 Nations finals
Hardcore hockey fan Charles Barkley wore a Team USA jersey signed by the players ahead of the 4 Nations final.

Canada used Donald Trump's tariff hike and 51st state claims to win 4 Nations, says Charles Barkley
Today Charles Barkley was hyped as Team USA was facing off against Canada in the 4 Nations finals. The game was of significant importance after President Donald Trump had almost started a face-off with the neighbors after his tariff hike.
In addition to those hikes, Trump has repeatedly talked about making Canada the 51st state of America. These taunts have angered Canadian fans ever since they started. They vented out their frustrations against Trump’s words as they booed the American national anthem during an NBA game in Toronto.
The crowd tonight at TD Garden returned the favor when the Canadian anthem was being played. Barkley, celebrating his 62nd birthday also wore a Team USA jersey to Inside the NBA and was hyped as the last time the two nations faced off, the Americans beat Canada soundly with a 3-1 score.
This gave every countryman the hope that Team USA will finish them off again and lift the 4 Nations trophy. But Canada turned the tables and won the game 3-2 as Connor McDavid continued his unreal year. After this, the round mound of rebound said this before he continued to talk about the NBA.
Congratulations to Canada. I’m sorry we got the tariffs on you. They played harder because of the tariff, and they didn’t want to be the 51st state.

He agreed with host Ernie Johnson that both teams played a great game. However, his joke about how the tariffs and the threat of Donald Trump making Canada the 51st state was motivation for their neighbors.
Charles Barkley claps back at fan who claimed he ‘jinxed’ Team USA
Not receiving the perfect birthday gift disappointed Charles Barkley. A hockey fan, he wore the jersey Team USA signed for him. To make matters worse, a little while later, Inside the NBA showcased a tweet from a fan who blamed the Hall of Famer for ‘jinxing’ the American hockey team. To this Barkley replied.
Listen Mate, you’re full of it.
Charles Barkley said
He was visibly miffed that a fan had just roasted him for jinxing Team USA. Hearing this, Shaquille O’Neal burst out laughing. “He likes it when someone roasts ‘Chuck’. But then, Barkley quickly moved on to avoid the discourse to continue.

That fan was not the only one roasting Americans. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau joined in the roasts. He made it clear that American’s can neither take their country, nor their game. Now Barkley and a legion of disappointed Americans will have to face such roasts in the coming days.
