Charles Barkley calls out $7 billion worth TNT Sports for snubbing ‘best series’ Clippers vs Nuggets
Charles Barkley and his colleagues are covering the playoffs for the last time for Inside the NBA before the show shifts from TNT to ESPN.

Charles Barkley slams TNT for not scheduling Clippers vs Nuggets playoff games
The NBA has come a long way from its days of declining ratings to now, where both the end of the regular season and playoff basketball have fans excited. This also marks the final season of Inside the NBA on TNT, which means Charles Barkley and his crew will not officially cover the playoffs anymore.
But that has not dampened their excitement watching these playoff games. Barkley, for one, was hyped when he saw how playoff contenders were facing off in the final few regular-season games to determine the final standings.
In the playoffs, TNT has scheduled its games to coincide with the days Inside the NBA broadcasts. That means for the games to be held on Thursday, April 24th, they had the option of choosing between two out of the three scheduled games.
TNT chose to pick up the game between the New York Knicks and the Detroit Pistons, as well as the battle between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Memphis Grizzlies. When the production crew splashed this schedule on Inside the NBA, Charles Barkley said.
Are y’all serious right now. Y’all got the Clippers and Nuggets, the best going to NBA TV instead of here, c’mon man. Who made that decision? They had the two best games by far and we ain’t gonna be there.

The Hall of Famer said that instead of watching the Denver Nuggets take on the Los Angeles Clippers, they will be watching the Thunder beat the Grizzlies by double digits again. He believes that series is all but over now. Now they will be missing out on a terrific game to watch a possible borefest.
Charles Barkley slams fans for thinking he wants physical 80s basketball to return
Some believe Charles Barkley and his Inside the NBA crew are too critical of current generation players. Fans and some analysts believe that constantly berating these players has led to declining ratings. They believe Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal preferred if this were 80s or 90s basketball.
They used to get mad at me and Shaq like, ‘Charles and Shaq, them old guys, they want them to play like they did in the 80s and 90s’. I’m like, no I don’t, it’s called strategy you damn fool.
Charles Barkley said
This was the round mound of rebound’s response to that criticism. He believes the Boston Celtics are mastering the tactic of utilizing physicality on mismatches like his era used to do. Since the current gen has moved on to more athleticism and skill-based play, the lack of those strategies is what Barkley believes has been missing.

They even shed light on how the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors are playing physical basketball reminiscent of their days. That increased physicality has helped turn up the excitement meter in these playoffs.
Shaquille O’Neal and Barkley impressed with Rockets star
Even though Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley often hark back to the old days, they have noticed how current generation players have excelled. Instead of physicality, these stars are using skill and athleticism. One of the examples they have seen lately has been Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun.
I have to admit, man. I didn’t know Sengun, he was that athletic. He’s had a couple of dunks and spin moves that have been incredible.

O’Neal added that the Rockets have done a good job of not trying to push the Turkish star to play faster. Rather, they are enjoying the fruits of his slower and patient game. Both of the Hall of Famers believe Sengun’s performances will help the Rockets enjoy a deep playoff run.
