‘Pumped up’ Charles Barkley aggressively defends his lifelong hatred for one common food: “It’s disgusting”
Former NBA icon Charles Barkley has been making the headlines lately for expressing his hatred for 'wet bread' on The Fanatic Show.
Charles Barkley has a particular preference for the type of bread he eats
Charles Barkley is known for his weird and unusual takes on the NBA, its players, coaches, and former players in and around the industry. Recently, the NBA community got to see a different side of Barkley. A side that involved his likes and dislikes of food dishes—one of them being ‘wet bread’ in particular. Barkley recently opened up on his hatred for ‘wet bread.’
On The Mike Missanelli Show on 97.5 The Fanatic, the 61-year-old spoke up about how much he dislikes food that use wet bread as their foundation. The initial topic of discussion was one of Barkley’s previous dining experiences. He told the story of how he once left a dish because the bread got soggy, which he completely hates.
A wet sandwich is the worst. It’s disgusting… Wet bread is disgusting. When I go to Subway, I always eat the Italian sandwich. I love Italian sandwiches. The meat is inside the bread. It’s toasted. I don’t want the liquid touching the bread.Charles Barkley said
Barkley’s stance amused Missanelli, who persisted in her argument that eating wet bread was perfectly acceptable.
However, Barkley did not shift from his stance and again made his feelings known regarding his hatred for ‘wet bread.’ Barkley also opened up about the food he likes. He stated on the show that he eats ‘anything’ such as ‘Pizza, steak, chicken, Krispy Kreme donuts.‘
Charles Barkley’s honest assessment of the end of ‘Inside the NBA’
NBA fans worldwide adore the Inside the NBA show. Charles Barkley recently discussed his opinions regarding the lawsuit that Warner Brothers Discovery, the parent company of TNT, brought against the NBA. Barkley thinks that the NBA and its commissioner are not concerned about the litigation that is likely to come.
I don't think Adam [Silver] would leave himself open to lose a lawsuit. He was a lawyer. I think he's too smart so … we have filed a lawsuit, but I think the NBA is like, ‘Yeah, it's too late, we don't care.’Charles Barkley said on the Podcast with Paul George
Barkley believes the NBA is unlikely to lose and that the lawsuit is unwarranted. Additionally, he thinks that if a lawsuit is necessary to keep the NBA’s partnership with TNT going, the NBA will not be interested in doing it. The NBA legend therefore sees no benefit from the lawsuits. Barkley expressed skepticism over the prospect of another network achieving the same level of popularity as Inside the NBA.
