Charles Barkley spoke about the Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors have performed poorly in recent times after making a promising start to the 2024-25 NBA season. Four games prior, the Warriors were on top of the Western Conference with a 12-3 record. Since then, they have gone on a devastating 5-game losing streak, with their most recent loss coming against the Denver Nuggets. This has left former NBA star Charles Barkley upset.

Barkley made a usual appearance on Inside the NBA alongside ex-players like Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith. He is one NBA legend who frequently takes issue with the Warriors. Barkley made certain to let basketball followers know today that he never had faith in the Warriors. This revelation from Charles Barkley comes despite the Warriors having an incredible start to the season.

Yeah, they’re a fun little team to watch. When they making threes, they are tough to beat. But I told you I don’t believe in the Warriors. But they’re cute, they’re fun to watch. I just don’t believe they have enough talent they got a bunch of jags, they got Steph and a bunch of jags, just guys. They don’t have enough star power.

These remarks came after Barkley saw the Nuggets and their star man Nikola Jokic toying with the Warriors and their star Stephen Curry. Jokic led the Denver Nuggets to a 119-115 victory with 38 points, 10 rebounds, and five steals. On the other hand, Curry had a poor showing as per his standards against the Nuggets.

Despite only shooting 4 for 15 from three-point range, Steph Curry finished with 24 points, 11 assists, and seven rebounds for his team. It’s important to note that the Warriors were without their star defender Draymond Green. It left them short on defense. With this loss, their head coach Steve Kerr will have to change the tide quickly if they were to achieve success this season.

Steve Kerr opens up on the Warriors’ harsh loss against the Nuggets

The Golden State Warriors lost their 5th consecutive game in the NBA this season. They have not played well, with their players lacking in defense. Warriors star Draymond Green’s absence is also playing a crucial role in their recent performances. After their most recent loss against the Denver Nuggets, the Warriors head coach Steve Kerr opened up on the game.

This league is unforgiving if you think you’re going to get on a highlight reel, show everybody what a special play you can make. It’s going to be a turnover. We’ve got to hit singles.

Steve Kerr told the reporters

Kerr was seemingly upset with his side’s turnover in the game. Not only that, the Nuggets were able to shoot 45.8% from three-point range and 50.6% from the field thanks to the Warriors. This showcased the defensive struggles the Dubs have faced lately. The Warriors are now in the sixth spot in the Western Conference after going 12-8 in their first 20 games.
