Charles Barkley took a jab at the NBA Emirates Cup and Play-in tournament with his comments about the winless Jazz and Pistons.

“Bet on the Jazz and the Pistons!” Charles Barkley makes bizarre comment about rigging the play-in tournament

Charles Barkley reaffirmed his commitment to TNT and the Inside the NBA show

Charles Barkley defines the indomitable spirit of a true troll, who will not give up on his jokes or hot takes no matter the occasion. On Tuesday’s Inside the NBA show, the Chuckster wasn’t far from his best.

He delivered one-liner after one-liner without fear of getting fired by TNT. But his most hilarious take came while reviewing the Utah Jazz.

The Utah Jazz are off to a 0-4 start to their season. They remain the only winless team in the West, and only the second winless team in the league alongside the Detroit Pistons, who also stand at 0-4. Looking at the pitiable standings of the bottom two teams in the league, Charles Barkley could not afford to miss out on the opportunity to take a stab at both teams.

We should rig the play-in tournament. Everybody bet on the Jazz and the Pistons, let them play for the championship.

Charles Barkley remarked

The Chuckster was jokingly referring to the disastrous starts for both teams. Both the Jazz and the Pistons stand near the top of the ladder for the worst teams in the league. Given their situation, Barkley couldn’t help but suggest that the NBA rig the play-in and in-season tournament to see the two teams battle for the title of the worst team in the league.

Given the smaller fanbases for the teams, and the wildly unpopular brand of basketball both teams play, the NBA may actually cancel the Play-in games and the Emirates Cup if it came down to the two teams in their current state.

Charles Barkley rips apart Dwayne Wade statue

The Miami Heat recently unveiled their franchise legend Dwayne Wade’s bronze sculpted statue outside the Kaseya Center. However, the public reaction to the statue has been far from inviting. Many have ripped apart the statue and its design even amidst Dwayne Wade’s bold declaration about it. Now, even Charles Barkley is ready to rip apart the statue—literally and metaphorically.

It’s a great honor but they gotta take that thing down. If you made an ugly statue that’s what it would look like. That thing is awful. The statue was so bad they had to put all his stats behind it so you know who it was.

Charles Barkley said

Barkley added to the list of detractors who condemned the design of Wade’s statue. While the statue represents the iconic Dwayne Wade shot against the Bulls, the facial features of the sculpture look far from those of the real Wade.

Wade continues to maintain that he is not going to be affected by anyone else’s opinion on the statue. However, there is certainly a grain of truth behind the deplorable sculpture that will remain enshrined in Miami forever.
