Charles Barkley is among the fans’ favorite veterans in the NBA. The primary reason for it is his hilarious analysis on Inside the NBA. Fans were heartbroken when the crew was on the edge of breaking up. But the show will continue after ESPN’s deal with TNT. However, Barkley was not on board right away with the new network. Now, Chuck has officially announced his rejection to deals with NBC and Amazon.
Charles Barkley wanted to retire after TNT departed from the NBA. However, two months ago, the 61-year-old revealed he was not ready with a firm decision. Chuck met with both Amazon and NBC but could not reach a satisfactory decision. While the veteran was beside his fellow panelist Ernie Johnson on ‘The Steam Room’, despite considering Barkley shockingly wanted to stay loyal to TNT Sports.
It seems that Chuck was unhappy with the offers but is still open to speak with both ESPN and TNT. The former hooper does not want to increase his work load from this point on considering his age. Having said that, Barkley politely thanked NBC and Amazon for their offers but his 25 years with TNT are holding him back.

Turner Sports was out of the picture after the $77 Billion combined deal was struck. After their feeling of relief two months ago, the fans might have to start worrying again. Even though it is confirmed that Inside the NBA will return with a new broadcasting partner, the panel might miss out on Barkley. All eyes will be on ESPN’s next proposal to the Chuckster.

Charles Barkley has maintained a loyal relationship with TNT over the years. The veteran stuck with the network during all of their negotiations and battles with the league for broadcasting rights. Chuck even refused to work with any other network, but was left blindsided by TNT.
As Inside the NBA was almost finalized to have shut down, ESPN entered the conversations. After Chuck and the other crew members joked about the end of the run, the show was switched to ESPN. But during the process, his beloved network TNT, did not inform Barkley. The former player expressed his disappointment while speaking on The Bettor Angle Show, saying
Despite the disappointment, Barkley still found common ground with his long-term partnership. Keeping the work-life balance in mind, Chuck has relied on TNT for his job in his 60s. NBA fans would certainly hope for positive news from Barkley.
