Charles Barkley slams Mavs $32 billion owners for throwing Nico Harrison under the bus
Many hold the belief that GM Nico Harrison traded away Luka Doncic only after getting the go ahead from the owners of the Dallas Mavericks.

Charles Barkley slams Dallas Mavericks owners for forcing GM Nico Harrison to take the fall
Dallas Mavericks GM Nico Harrison has not had a moment to live outside the line of fire ever since he traded away Luka Doncic. Now his team are out of the postseason, and he has to answer for all the troubles the team and their fans have gone through.
For starters, he suggested that he did not have any regrets trading away the Slovenian. That has not only further angered the already disgruntled fans, but even media members were aghast to his response. They believed he should have at least said something differently to appease a fanbase that want him to be fired.
That interview was behind closed doors and without video cameras in place. Earlier today, the video cameras returned, and a sleuth of reporters gathered to ask him questions he has avoided so far. One of them was whether he anticipated the backlash from fans.
To this, his reply suggested he had no clue how the fans would react. He believed he was just trading away a superstar like others do. After the Inside the NBA crew heard this part of his end-of-season interview, Charles Barkley said this.
He is not going to trade Luka Doncic without the owners doing that. And now he is taking all the bullets, and rightfully so, because that’s the job.

The Hall of Famer understands that Nico Harrison did not do himself any favors by saying all those things. But at the same time, Barkley also knows that the Mavericks’ $32 billion worth owners, Patrick Dumont and the Adelson family have thrown their GM under the bus.
Charles Barkley continues to troll Mavs organization
Charles Barkley believes Nico Harrison is taking the bulk of the heat for something that was decided the by the people sitting at the top of the Dallas Mavericks hierarchy. He then went on to bring up another instance of bad decisions by those up top.
Whoever announced the ticket hike right in the middle of that, got to be one of the dumbest individuals in the history of civilization. You don’t drop that right in the middle of the Luka Doncic trade that you are raising ticket prices. That’s just stupid.

The round mound of rebound revealed that it is well known in sports and entertainment that any decision that could backfire is generally revealed late on Friday evening. That way, many fans and media members who are disengaged and starting to enjoy their weekends would forget about it by Monday.
He knows the decision to hike ticket prices must have come from the top. That is why he ended up assigning names to them. Barkley could not believe how they decided the timing was right when all the fans who purchase those tickets were enraged.
Barkley asks Nico Harrison to stop
He might have had a few things to say about the Dallas Mavericks owners. But he was also annoyed that GM Nico Harrison was choosing to go in front of cameras to say things that are not helping his case. Charles Barkley said the following multiple times while on Inside the NBA.
Nico Harrison, I consider you a friend of mine. Don’t do any more press conferences. I don’t even know what you’re doing. I really don’t. I got sympathy and love for you, but I have zero idea what you are trying to do. This war is over, brother. You are taking the L.

The 62-year-old would prefer if his friend stopped talking to the media. The day the Mavericks start to put together a string of wins, he will have the face to come out and answer questions. Right now, the situation is not right.
