“Stop the BS” – Charles Barkley’s vicious Lakers rant triggers Stephen A Smith and Fox Sports host
Charles Barkley's recent criticism of ESPN analysts did not sit well with Stephen A. Smith and Fox Sports analyst Nick Wright.

Stephen A. Smith and Charles Barkley
NBA legend and TNT co-host Charles Barkley has stolen the headlines lately for his comments regarding the ESPN panelists. Barkley called the ESPN panelist Kendrick Perkins a ‘fool’ for constantly covering the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors’ games. However, another ESPN panelist, Stephen A. Smith, and Fox Sports analyst Nick Wright have chimed in.
After Barkley dismantled ESPN and Perkins in particular, Smith and Wright didn’t remain mute for long.
Smith and Wright felt compelled to join the argument and reply to Barkley’s criticisms in a social media post. Smith told Barkley to ‘stop the bs, ‘ whereas Wright slammed Barkley for his one-sided view of the Lakers all season.
Yo Chuck, stop the b.s. with the “y’all.” Attach a name to it. I know I’ve been talking about @cavs being the No.1 threat to the @Celtics. Once you come over here, there’s gonna be some folks waiting to call YOU a fool.

It’s disingenuous bullshit from someone (Charles Barkley) who doesn’t want to admit he’s been wrong about this team (Los Angeles Lakers) every step of the way and it’s OK to say that, despite the fact he’s the funniest/most beloved person in sports TV history.

To be more precise, on broadcast Thursday night, Barkley had initially called Perkins a “fool” and an “idiot” for claiming that the Lakers had saved the NBA. He went on to be critical of ESPN’s apparent disregard for talented teams like Cleveland and Oklahoma City in favor of covering the Lakers and Warriors. This left Smith and Wright a need to support Perkins from Barkley’s attack.
Yo Chuck, stop the b.s. with the “y’all.” Attach a name to it. I know I’ve been talking about @cavs being the No.1 threat to the @Celtics. Once you come over here, there’s gonna be some folks waiting to call YOU a fool. P.S. You know I love ya, though. See y’all soon. Yo… https://t.co/8PbBWVRlim

Listen, everybody loves Chuck, but we’ve gotta be honest here.

ALL YEAR he’s said the Lakers stink. Not that they’re not the best team in the league. That they’re bad/irrelevant.
ALL YEAR he’s minimized anything they’ve done.
Then, they trade for Luka and NO ONE was more…
Beginning with the upcoming season, TNT will license the popular studio program “Inside the NBA” to the Worldwide Leader as part of an agreement with ESPN and the NBA. Before that move, Barkley’s potshots on Thursday night are undoubtedly creating an intriguing dynamic.
Charles Barkley aims ANOTHER dig at ESPN’s lakers coverage
Charles Barkley does not seem to be giving up on this feud with the ESPN panelists anytime soon. Despite Stephen A. Smith and Kendrick Perkins’s response towards Barkley’s initial comments, he went at them one again. This was during the half-time on the NBA on TNT show. Barkey took a subtle dig at the Los Angeles Lakers and ESPN after they were trailing to the New York Knicks.
I’m not a hater. I’m just worried about people on the other network (ESPN). They’re gonna be sad tomorrow. They’re gonna be sad and crying. (Crying noises) A Laker loss!…

The Lakers and Knicks matchup went into overtime at the Crypto.com Arena. If the Lakers failed to win, Barkley will surely target ESPN post-game. However, since the Lakers won, it will be the other way around. One thing is certain: another wave of drama amongst the analysts for the NBA community.
