Ex-Chiefs DE Star Picks Caleb Williams in His ‘Scariest QBs to Face in the NFL’ List
Former Chiefs and 49ers DE, Charles Omenihu, claimed that the Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is one of the scariest quarterbacks in the NFL after playing just two seasons of pro football.

- Caleb Williams has been recognized as one of the "Scariest Quarterbacks" in the NFL by defensive end Charles Omenihu.
- Williams led the Bears to an 11-6 record, winning the NFC North and recording the most final drive wins in the league.
- He threw for 3,942 yards and 27 touchdowns in the season, falling short of 4,000 passing yards by less than 100 yards.
No one can deny that Caleb Williams has all the tools in his arsenal to become a great NFL quarterback. ChatGPT once predicted that Williams would become the first football player to sign a $1 billion contract. While the free AI platform isn’t exactly Nostradamus, if Williams continues to play as he did in 2025, then it won’t be too long before he wins a Super Bowl.
Even his adversaries have started to believe in him. For instance, recently, veteran defensive end Charles Omenihu put the 24-year-old on a list that he believes are the “Scariest Quarterbacks” in the league.
Omenihu obviously picked his former teammate, Patrick Mahomes, followed by the Bills’ Josh Allen, the Ravens’ Lamar Jackson, the Rams’ Matthew Stafford, and the Bengals’ Joe Burrow. Not a bad group to be rubbing shoulders with.
Somebody who has shown over and over and over that it ain’t over until the fat lady sings. And [Caleb Williams] can run, and he can make every throw. Every single throw. I respect the hell out of his game. After this past year, I respect his game crazy. He has shown in moments where it’s crunch time, he’s doing it. He’s throwing dots and going cold shoulder, Iceman.

Does his list surprise you!?

Funny how Omenihu referred to Williams as “Iceman.” His ongoing feud with NBA legend George Gervin is not a secret to anyone.
Anyways, Omenihu had the best seat in the house to witness Williams’ prowess with the ball in his hand. Near the end of August last year, the Chiefs traveled to Chicago for a friendly. Williams threw quick-fire 11 completions from 15 attempts for 113 yards and 1 touchdown before taking his leave. Tyson Bagent threw three more TDs to bag a 29-27 victory, taking their tally to 2-0-1. Sure, it was a preseason game, but the signs were there for everyone to see, and Williams picked it up in the regular season.
Following two straight losses to start the year, the Bears posted nine wins in eleven games. Through that run, Williams recorded more final drive wins than anyone in the league. Chicago finished with an 11-6 record, winning the NFC North for the first time since 2018.
In Ben Johnson’s first playoff game as the Bears’ head coach, Williams threw for 361 yards, two interceptions, and 2 touchdowns, including the garbage time winner to knock out the Green Bay Packers. The divisional playoff game against the Rams was evenly balanced between the two teams. Unfortunately, Williams conceded three picks, helping the Rams secure a spot in the NFC title game.
Williams came very close to becoming the first to throw for 4000 passing yards, falling short by fewer than 100 yards. He threw for 3942 yards (a Bears record), along with 27 touchdowns, 7 interceptions, and a passer rating of 90.1. He also carried the ball 77 times for 388 yards and scored 3 touchdowns.
As for Omenihu, the Chiefs declined to extend his contract and released him after the season ended. In March 2026, the 28-year-old signed a one-year, $4 million contract, reuniting with his ex-Chiefs teammate Leo Chenal at the Washington Commanders.
Caleb Williams makes a surprise admission about retirement life
There’s good news and bad news for the Bears fans. The bad news is that Williams has already made plans for his life after retiring from football. And the good news is that he is unlikely to follow Andrew Luck anytime soon.

On that note, here’s what Williams told Front Office Sports about retirement life. Apparently, the Heisman Trophy winner is a racing junkie.
One of the other big ones for us and personally for me is F1. I love F1. I’ve grown to become a really, really big fan of it. And so that’s one of them.
Williams said (H/T: Bloomberg)
He will be following in the footsteps of his idol, Michael Jordan. The NBA Hall of Famer co-founded 23XI Racing, a team that has been upsetting the NASCAR scene lately.
