Around eight months ago, in December, Charlotte Flair tore her ACL, MCL, and even her meniscus. That’s too jangling for an athlete’s liking. However, for someone as unperturbed as her, it’s no wonder that she’s already back at the performance center. In a clip making the rounds on the internet, The Queen could be seen nudging past those ring ropes at the PC.
She did have a knee brace on. Nonetheless, it’s the first time she’s hit the state-of-the-art training facility of WWE in downtown Orlando since she had her surgery. Does that mean Charlotte Flair‘s on the verge of making it back? Not quite yet. Back in June, she provided an update on her recovery. The 38-year-old recently undertook her first biodex test.
Charlotte emphatically announced that she had sub-20% quad strength compared to her non-surgical leg. The 14-time Women’s Champion then admitted that she misses her fans and can’t wait to lace her boots again. Having said that, she’s likely to remain on the sidelines for a few more weeks. In May, it was reported that Flair had been cast for the Indie Horror feature, You Lose You Die.
The movie’s pre-production was already underway. In some of her previous interviews, The Nature Girl expressed her desire to foray into Hollywood down the road. This might just be the beginning. However, she may have a lot left to offer as an in-ring performer.
Having won the Women’s title 14 times, she’s already the only woman in WWE with that kind of distinction. And it’s quite possible that she might resume her chase to break the elusive record of her legendary father, Ric Flair. The latter had 17 world titles next to his name. What a proud moment it would be for him if his daughter trumps him.
Will Charlotte Flair be paired with Andrade upon her return?
There are a lot of ways in which Charlotte Flair can be reinstated into WWE programming once she’s good to go. One obvious temptation would be to have her pair with Andrade, who’s Charlotte’s husband. It’s not a tall ask, especially when both of them are currently listed on SmackDown.
A few instances of real-life couples put together on WWE TV include that of Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch. And not to forget The Miz & Maryse. Flair and Andrade could tread the same path.
However, the ultimate purpose would be to establish the husband-wife duo as top contenders for championship gold. While Charlotte is a sure-shot main eventer, her el marido has some work to do.
