Charlotte Flair firmly sits on the Mount Rushmore of WWE’s greatest women’s wrestlers. The daughter of the legendary Ric Flair is the most decorated female star in company history, boasting 14 world title reigns. As one of the Four Horsewomen alongside Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, and Bayley, ‘The Queen’ played a pivotal role in kickstarting WWE’s Women’s Revolution.
But now, it seems Flair is entering the twilight of her career. After more than a decade at the top, the physical toll of staying in the spotlight, paired with multiple injuries, has begun to show. And it is safe to say that the North Carolina native is also looking ahead to life beyond the ring.
In a recent interview with Shannon Sharpe on Nightcap, she opened up about her retirement plans and her desire to embrace peace and motherhood once her wrestling chapter comes to a close.
Wrestling’s in my blood. I don’t know any different. I love it, but I do want to be a mom.

Charlotte Flair was asked how much longer she wants to wrestle:

“I don't know. I want kids one day. That's the thing. I can do both, but it just depends on the time.
I think wrestling's in my blood. I don't know any different. Like, I love it, but I do want to be a mom.

However, Flair made it clear that motherhood wouldn’t necessarily mark the end of her wrestling career. She pointed to WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus as an example, noting how the Canadian legend retired in 2006 but has returned to the ring multiple times, even as she nears 50.
But I think Trish Stratus coming back and having all these one-offs, and she’s 50, looks better than half the roster. Like she’s killing it. So I don’t think that door will ever close. It’s just I do know I want to step away to have children, and when that time is.

During WrestleMania 41 weekend, Flair held a Q&A session where she opened up about her recent knee injury and its impact on her career. She admitted that the setback made her question how much time she has left in WWE, noting she feels she is halfway through her journey but is uncertain about how many WrestleMania events remain.
Missing WrestleMania 40 was tough, and now her focus is on making every appearance matter. Flair also confessed she once felt physically untouchable, but the injury changed that outlook. For the unversed, Flair suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus during a match with Asuka in December 2023, sidelining her for over a year. The 14-time world champion finally made her long-awaited return at the 2025 Royal Rumble.
Charlotte Flair talks about her unique partnership with Alexa Bliss after returning to WWE
Speaking of triumphant comebacks, this year’s Royal Rumble also saw the return of Alexa Bliss after nearly two years away from WWE. Since then, the multi-time world champion has been paired with Charlotte Flair in what has turned into a surprisingly successful partnership.

What began as a love-hate dynamic has gradually evolved into strong chemistry, with both women finding their rhythm together in the latter stages of their careers. In her interview with Shannon Sharpe, Flair shared her thoughts on working alongside Bliss.
Personally, I like solo, I don’t like sharing the spotlight, but I am in a tag team with the one person I don’t mind sharing the spotlight with, and that’s Alexa Bliss.

As a 14-time world champion, Flair has always thrived in singles competition. However, with fresh talent continuing to arrive in WWE, ‘The Queen’ has embraced a new role. She even admitted that teaming with Bliss has brought out the best in her, showing a different side of her legendary career.
I’m having so much fun. She’s great. She brings out definitely a different side of my character for TV, so it’s great.

The partnership has already paid off in gold. At this year’s SummerSlam, Flair and Bliss defeated Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez to capture the Women’s Tag Team Championships, their first reign as a team.
Beyond the ring, Bliss revealed the duo has built a strong off-screen bond, enjoying trips to theme parks like Universal Studios and Knott’s Berry Farm, where they mixed interviews with roller coaster rides. Their playful social media posts have also struck a chord with fans, adding to the charm of their partnership.
