The biggest underdog in the 2024 NASCAR championship chase is Stewart Haas Racing’s Chase Briscoe. The Ford driver pulled of few impressive runs and a win at Daytona, to secure Stewart Haas Racing a spot in the playoffs in their final season in the sport. He went on to surprise many in the garage by surviving the R-16 to make it to the R-12.
But despite the promises shown by Chase Briscoe many in the community isn’t taking them seriously and has predicted his exit in the second playoff round. In a recent interview the two times race winner asserted that he and the team isn’t getting the respect they deserve from the community and seems determined to prove them wrong.

I feel like definitely inside the industry right, we don’t get the respect of being one of the guys that can move on. Like everybody said that we were going to get out in the first round, we obviously advanced.
Chase Briscoe said via NASCAR SiriusXM radio.
He pointed out that they have been overlooked by everybody in the post-season and isn’t getting the recognition he is due. Chase Briscoe is using this factor as motivation and to prove to the garage that they should be taken seriously.
We know how strong we are right now and feel like everybody just kind of overlooks it, and we don’t get the respect sometimes compared to some of the other teams. So yeah, I think for us that is motivating, but I wish people probably take us a little more seriously and quit doubting as much as they do.
Chase Briscoe added.
Chase Briscoe believes they can beat anyone
While talking about his recent performances in another Interview, the Ford driver admitted that he believes if he gets the right car, he can easily secure good finishes for the team. He is also motivated after surviving the hiccup at Bristol and believes it can inspire a championship run.

I feel like we can beat anybody on any given day when we put it together from start to finish. Obviously, (at Bristol) we had some hiccups, but we were still able to have a good finish, and that’s what this championship run is going to be all about, so go on to the next one.
Chase Briscoe said.
Winning the championship or making it to the last-4 at the moment is still a really tough goal to achieve for the SHR driver. But they have a shot at making it to the R-8, if they play all their cards right in the coming weeks.
