The San Francisco 49ers are among the few blue-chip franchises that have won five Super Bowls in their history. However, their final win in the biggest football game came in 1994 against the Chargers in Florida.
Despite putting together several quality rosters and making three more Super Bowl appearances, the 49ers cannot seem to cross the final hurdle a sixth time. It could all change in 2026.
Popular Instagram football stats profile ‘Pickinem’ asked ChatGPT to predict the winner of Super Bowl LX. It did not take long for the artificial intelligence to spit out its answer.
ChatGPT predicted that Super Bowl LX will be a rematch of Super Bowl LVIII between the 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs, to whom they have lost in back-to-back matchups. The AI did not display any scores, but it simply predicted the 49ers defeating the Chiefs. Coincidentally, Super Bowl LX is scheduled to take place at Levi’s Stadium, home of the Niners.
Naturally, the next question will be about the Philadelphia Eagles because they are the reigning Super Bowl champions. Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley led the Eagles to their second-ever Super Bowl victory by defeating the Chiefs in New Orleans.

There’s bad news for the Eagles fans. The AI claimed that the Eagles’ (3rd seed) defense will end in the wildcard round against the NFC North’s Green Bay Packers (6th seed).
Analyst sends warning to the 49ers regarding their Super Bowl hopes
ChatGPT has no control over Colin Cowherd. The veteran analyst released his annual prediction regarding which team is the favorite to qualify for the playoffs and their chances of winning the Super Bowl.

During a recent segment of FS1’s The Herd, Cowherd predicted that the 49ers would not qualify for the playoffs for the second year running.
[The San Francisco] 49ers miss the playoffs…They lost Dre Greenlaw, Hufanga, and Deebo Samuel. They didn’t really want to. Those are good players, [and] the players they have now on offense get injured. They have a sub-500 record, Kyle [Shanahan] does without Christian McCaffrey. … They [is] a sprained knee on Trent Williams at left tackle from having a bad offensive line.

The 49ers suffered major losses due to injury on the roster. As Cowherd highlighted, McCaffrey, Trent Williams, and Brandon Aiyuk spent most of the season in rehab, weakening the team. They finished with a 6-11 record and last in the NFC West.
There’s every chance of a repeat of last season, even though quarterback Brock Purdy signed a big contract. They are one or two injuries away from capitulating. This will present a great opportunity for divisional rivals, the Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks, to grab a spot in the playoffs.
According to the Niners Nation, Shanahan’s team has the sixth-best odds (+1500) to win Super Bowl LX in their own backyard. They play three preseason friendlies against the Broncos, Raiders, and Chargers before facing the Seahawks in week one.
The Seahawks were on a six-game losing streak before defeating the 49ers 20-17 in November. Quarterback Geno Smith (now with the Raiders) completed 221 yards and one interception, while Brock Purdy had 159 yards, one touchdown, and one INT.
