With Thanksgiving just around the corner, the NFL is also gearing up for its long-standing tradition of hosting games, featuring two fierce rivalries on the field. Among them, the matchup between Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants has garnered attention since the ticket prices have dropped to levels lower than a price of Thanksgiving turkey in United States.

Taking the traditional role of hosting the holiday game, the Cowboys are poised to host their divisional rivals, the Giants, at AT&T stadium, Texas. Typically, a matchup between these two NFC East teams generates immense excitement and makes tickets hard to come by. However, this season is different, with tickets being sold at surprisingly low prices.

Dov Kleiman reported on X that the cheapest ticket for the Thanksgiving game between the Cowboys and Giants is being sold for just $25, which is less than the cost of turkey in America.

Interestingly, Cowboys and Giants are holding somewhat similar records and without their starting quarterbacks. Given, that the Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has been declared out of the season due to a serious injury he sustained recently and the Giants’ Daniel Jones have been benched after a series of abysmal performances.

In addition to that, they both are on a five-game losing streak with another game just before November 28, making the holiday game less in demand. Besides this, Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions are also getting on the field against each other and so are Green Bay Packers against Miami Dolphins on the festival day.

Dallas Cowboys eye top draft picks amid disappointing season

The only good aspect of having the worst season is getting top draft picks and amid the Cowboys’ on-field struggle, their name has been swirling around to get a top draft pick in 2025 NFL Draft. However, the experts believe that despite the Cowboys’ misery, they are unlikely to fall into the Top-5 of the draft order.

According to FTN’s DVOA, Jerry Jones’ Cowboys only have 21.9% chance of landing a Top-5 draft pick. But they are highly likely to land a Top-10 pick since the hopes of securing a playoff berth is long gone.

If the season ends today, the Cowboys are estimated to land the ninth overall pick and if they continue losing more games, their chances are expected to improve, potentially resulting in a higher draft pick— something many coaches prefer when all hopes of playoff fades.
