Jayden Daniels, quarterback for the Washington Commanders, earned Tom Brady‘s weekly LFG Player of the Game award. Daniels recorded 350 total yards and two touchdowns in a 45-31 upset victory over the Detroit Lions during Saturday’s NFC Divisional round.
The quarterback joined an elite list of five people to lead a team to the conference game in their rookie season. He also joined a small list of rookies with more than 300 total yards in their first two postseason games.
Furthermore, Daniels could become the first rookie QB to enter the Super Bowl if he manages to lead the Commanders to a victory over their divisional rivals Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Conference Game.
After the culmination of one of the best upsets in the season, Jayden Daniels joined the legend of the game and current FOX broadcaster Tom Brady for a short media availability. Before Brady could dive into a conversation with Daniels about the game, the Commanders’ standout rookie, flashing a smile, asked the Fox lead NFL analyst what “LFG” stood for.

"It's inappropriate. It's a family-friendly program." – @TomBrady 😂

As every football fan is aware, LFG stands for Lets F*****g Go, a phrase Brady used many times during his career verbatim and much more cleaner on certain instances as well. FOX News would be delighted that Brady chose not to use the expletive this time as they avoid a call from FCC due to it.
Jayden Daniels revels in prophetic glory after the stellar win and the LFG nod
A tweet from a 13-year-old Jayden Daniels resurfaced, perfectly reflecting his mindset after leading the Washington Commanders to the NFC Championship game.
In his rookie season, the quarterback has been nothing short of spectacular, positioning himself as the clear favorite for Rookie of the Year honors. He championed a stunning upset over the Detroit Lions, the team widely considered Super Bowl favorites.
In a tweet from 2013, Daniels wrote: “One day you guys gonna hear my name everywhere.” 11 years later, Daniels has won a Heisman Trophy, become the second overall pick in the NFL Draft and is one game away from making NFL history.

The regular season series was split, with the Eagles claiming a 26-18 victory in Week 11 behind a standout performance from Saquon Barkley, who rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns.
In Week 16, the Commanders got their revenge with a 36-33 win after Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts left the game with a concussion. Backup Kenny Pickett stepped in, completing 14 of 24 passes for 143 yards, one touchdown, and an interception in the narrow loss.
