Chelsea and its supporters had a night to forget at the Emirates on Tuesday night. The Blues’ winning streak and momentum gained over the past few Premier League games came crashing down as Arsenal ran riot of Mauricio Pochettino‘s men. A shameful outing against the League leaders left Chelsea fans running for cover as a 5-0 score line made headlines.

Leandro Trossard began the onslaught as he fired Arsenal into the lead through the legs of Dorde Petrovic. The Chelsea keeper was in for a long night, even though his side’s undoing didn’t arrive until the later part of the second half. Defender Ben White scored Arsenal‘s second, as he pounced on a loose ball inside the area.

Former Chelsea man Kai Havertz held off his marker before finishing off a sublime effort past Petrovic. He quickly came for a second, as he found the near post from an unexpected finish.

The final goal of the game came from White again, when his attempted cross somehow fooled the entire Chelsea defense and flew over Petrovic into the back of the net. Chelsea are now ninth with 47 points from 32 games.

Fans react to Chelsea’s humiliating loss against Arsenal

The internet was quick to react to what was Chelsea’s most embarrassing defeat of the season. A frustrated fan said that the club and all of its players were losers after the game.

Another added that Chelsea were beyond finished and that there was no coming back from this. Fans spammed pictures of Ben White and Kai Havertz, labeling them as the new owners of the club.

Former Arsenal man Theo Walcott jokingly tweeted that Arsenal’s performance wasn’t all that bad. Many said that the game was a complete violation of their opponents and that it was sweet revenge for how they (Chelsea) mocked them over the years. The Gunners’ biggest-ever win over Chelsea couldn’t have come at a better time, with the win taking them three points clear of Liverpool.

Some fans said that both Todd Boehly and Mauricio Pochettino need to leave the club after the embarrassing result/season. Some Chelsea fans however, found solace in the fact that Arsenal couldn’t surpass their 6-0 win over them years ago. Many made fun of Pochettino for his bold comments prior to the game against the Gunners.
