Chelsea 3-0 West Ham United
Chelsea to be honest looked extremely shabby with the ball. It’s very clear that the midfield backups in Jorginho are just not consistent enough. The midfielder gave the ball away with sloppy deliveries all the time.
This caused the side far too many problems as he tried risky passes in and around the penalty box. Any team with better ability will punish without any pity.
In such circumstances, young blood in Mason Mount showed the way with tireless work rate and constantly tracking back along with good passes in the final third.
Talking about leading the way captain Thiago Silva scored yet another crucial goal in the match. An opener which gave Chelsea the cushioning they required.
Frank Lampard spoke to the Chelsea media official page presented his views on the match. Lampard knows a tough run of games is coming up and the onus is on us to stay near the top of the table. With Arsenal next, he sees a team of great quality who are in a tough moment, making them dangerous opposition we will have to prepare well for.
Lampard is not worried about Timo Werner’s form: ‘He is getting into positions regularly, scaring teams and causing problems. It’s not quite going for him at the moment but he will start scoring soon.’
