Chelsea Green breaks silence after Michin ruins her celebration (via WWE)
Chelsea Green recently won her first singles championship in WWE, and she has taken the achievement quite seriously. In fact, she seems to be presenting herself as the President of the United States. On the latest episode of SmackDown, she held a celebration for her title win where she had a presidential seal with her face on it. She even came down to the ring dressed as Lady Liberty.
The 33-year-old got on the microphone and talked about how she had turned the blue brand into the Green House. She also began to insult Michin, who ended up coming down to the ring to confront the Women’s US Champion with a kendo stick. Piper Niven tried to protect her tag team partner but ended up on the wrong side of the stick. Green narrowly escaped the situation and later complained with a post on X about not being able to bring her own security.
Green and Michin had both made it to the finals of the United States Championship tournament. They were set to face off at Saturday Night’s Main Event for the honor of becoming the inaugural champion. After their back-and-forth match and interference from Niven, The Hot Mess jumped off the turnbuckle, hit an Unpretty-her, and won via pinfall to become the first Women’s United States Champion.

Green’s celebration unfortunately had to be postponed by a week. The SmackDown after Saturday Night’s Main Event was pre-taped before the NBC show even took place. Furthermore, WWE was committed to not putting any spoilers on that episode. Thus, hosting the celebration last week would have spoiled the results of SNME for the live crowd and other fans.
Michin speaks about her relationship with Chelsea Green
Although Michin and Chelsea Green are arch nemesis on SmackDown, their backstage relationship appears to be much different. Speaking on Casual Conversations with the Classic, the 35-year-old said that they share a lot of respect for each other.
The former TNA Knockouts Champion had gone up against the Women’s US Champion in a dumpster match a few months ago. She revealed that the dumpster ended up being a lot smaller than she initially anticipated. Hence, she was worried that Green would hit her head.
We joke all the time because we can communicate with each other without even speaking, which is crazy. But that’s just how our history has formed.
Michin on Casual Conversations with The Classic
Michin said that they have a lot of trust in their relationship. Thus, the Hot Mess was fine with the dumpster spot and trusted that her opponent would not hit her head. They even have a running joke between them which says that they are such good friends, they can communicate without even talking to each other.
