Popular WWE superstar finally ends her 2-month losing streak with the help of a former WWE champion on the latest episode of SmackDown.
Chelsea Green ends losing streak on SmackDown (via WWE)
Chelsea Green is undoubtedly one of the most entertaining acts on WWE TV at the moment. While she is adored by many fans, she has unfortunately not seen the same success in the ring. The former Knockouts Champion doesn’t have the best of win/loss records. However, she may have begun to turn her situation around after the latest episode of SmackDown.
During a backstage segment, Chelsea Green and her tag team partner, Piper Niven, were seen complaining to Nick Aldis. Michin approached the duo and tried to get a match with The Hot Mess. Although the 33-year-old tried to dodge the match, the blue brand’s general manager made the match official.
Later, during the show, Michin and Green faced off in the ring while Piper Niven was present at the ringside to support her partner. Although the Canadian looked in trouble during the early half of the match, her tag team partner ran interference to help her out. The Scottish wrestler distracted Mia Yim and even hit her with a senton while the referee was not looking. This allowed the 33-year-old to land the Unprettier and pick up the win.
The Lunatic Lush’s previous victory in WWE was on the 21st June 2024 edition of SmackDown. Coincidentally, she had pinned Mia Yim in that match to win a Money in the Bank qualifying triple threat match that also featured Bianca Belair. She had since been on a losing streak for nearly two months and hadn’t even won a dark match since June.
Meanwhile, Mia Yim came off from a feud against WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax. Michin took on the Samoan in a street fight last week on SmackDown.
Chelsea Green confronts NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez, gets taken out by Giulia
Green has been all over the place lately. She was even present on the latest episode of NXT to confront Roxanne Perez. The latest episode of the show featured the NXT Women’s Champion bragging about her win against Jaida Parker at NXT No Mercy. During her promo, she was unexpectedly interrupted by the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.
Green declared herself the #1 contender for her championship. However, this statement definitely upset recently-debuted Giulia. WWE’s latest signee came down to the ring and laid out the Canadian.
Further, she picked up a microphone and challenged Roxanne Perez to a match for the NXT Women’s Championship for the show’s debut episode on CW. The bout was later made official.
