She has always been a highly entertaining superstar to watch, and her reign has been full of comedy gold. She made fans laugh out loud once again on the latest episode of SmackDown. However, this time, it wasn’t intentional.

The latest episode of SmackDown featured Piper Niven taking on Zelina Vega. Green and Alba Fyre, who recently aligned herself with the champion, were also present at ringside. Thus, this bout felt like anything but a singles match due to the constant interference.

At one point during the match, Vega found herself on the ring ropes while trying to use them to lift herself up. Niven distracted the referee, and Green used this opportunity to slap the Latina superstar. However, the Canadian missed it completely and got irritated. She went for it again, slapping the inaugural Queen of the Ring and making her fall down on the mat.

Toward the end of the match, Vega caught her opponent with a satellite DDT, but her opponent was kicked out. Green climbed up on the apron to run interference, but the Puerto Rican knocked her off. She fended off Fyre as well, but the distraction was too much. Piper Niven caught her with a freight train crossbody and won the match via pinfall.

The WWE Universe was rolling on the floor after witnessing this hilarious botch. They further found it funny that Chelsea Green’s facial expressions clearly reflected being embarrassed and angry that she missed this slap.

Some fans criticized Green for missing such a simple spot, that too, on live TV with no retakes. Others were not so harsh and mentioned how even the best suffer from such simple mistakes all the time. Netizens even said that it kind of fit her character, and she was able to recover from it well.

They appreciated Zelina Vega for not reacting to the missed slap. This is something that often happens in WWE, where a competitor sells a move even after being missed by it completely. Something similar happened last week on SmackDown, where Charlotte Flair sold a missed senton bomb twice even though Tiffany Stratton completely missed her.

Will Zelina Vega challenge Chelsea Green for the Women’s United States Championship?

Zelina Vega moving over to SmackDown was a move largely celebrated by fans. The Raw women’s mid-card is already cluttered with the likes of Lyra Valkyria, Dakota Kai, Ivy Nile, and others. Meanwhile, the only believable contender for the US title on SmackDown has been for a few months, Michin. Her introduction to this brand really helped open things up.

Vega could be the perfect person to dethrone the inaugural Women’s United States Champion. With the latest episode of SmackDown, she already seems to have gotten involved with the Secret Service. Considering the way that she lost, she would surely be looking for revenge, which could come with a title match between her and Green.

Wrestlemania 41 would be a perfect place to conclude this feud and feature the women’s mid-card title on the biggest show of the year. Green’s comedic antics would surely make for a very entertaining build to the match. Furthermore, both these competitors are more than capable of putting on a stellar match that results in Vega winning her first singles title in WWE.
